What is your longest streak without farming?....
To be honest, this game is great, very underpriced and not played enough. Now that thats out of the way i am wondering, what is everyones longest streak without farming? i say that because farming is a misrepresentation of skill. I do not care who disagrees with me. i admit that i have farmed here and there, but for some players it is to much of a priority and i don't respect you whatsoever. My longest streak was with a stoner lmg with only one vest. I reached 369 kills. anyone else? I am proud of my streak and i want to hear other players stories and there streaks actaully being on the front lines like i was. Take it easy! and keep this community great mates!!!

My longest streak was 318 with the Dragunov with no vest. It was in the middle area of Keepsake Bay(Shop Lane and Docks).Dragunov's fire rate is just awesome for a 0.9 kill chance. Only thing that could stop me was a tank round to the face :D

I got the streak I have now using the XM-25 on a full server running Old Fort Creek. We started at the Textile Factory and began to push east, slowly but surely due to a solid enemy defence. I managed to stay alive until we eventually reached the Great Bridge, where I unfortunately fell victim to an unexpected enemy mortar strike.

I didn't think too much about that, but continued to assault the town together with the rest of the forces. It was really hard to get a grip of the area, and it ended up in a major stalemate because plenty of enemies kept reinforcing the front lines. Eventually we managed to capture the town and with that the entire map, and with only one death from my side.

The next map, I took a look at my stats and happily realized that I had improved my streak from 618 to 685. But who knows what it could have been if I wasn't blown up at that bridge... :'(

Three large artillery barrages of heavily populated enemy spawns and a few armored rampages with competent tank mates can rack up kills really fast.

My highest streak was 805, accomplished on Keepsake Bay. I sat on a rooftop at docks equipped with an xm25 and endlessly slaughtered them during a stalemate in the middle of the map, where tonnes of enemies would keep coming down from shoplane into docks. I gained around 8k xp during the 30 minute massacre and enjoyed many combos, eventually being killed by a flanking group of enemies who came up on the rooftop behind me D:. Plus, don't worry about my micro man, I've got plenty more aha.

You should rather ask me what's my shortest... :D

What exactly is 'farming' in this game? I assume its just killing bots, but you all make it sound much more effective than that is. Google is also just coming up with vague ♥♥♥♥.

There's a few places where you can sit at the top of a ladder and continuously knife every enemy that climbs up it, which gives you more xp. If there's enough alerted enemies around and you're in a position where they aren't shooting you, it's easy to stay there for a while and just rack up kills and XP.

Anyways, my personal non-farming streak was on Bootleg Islands on one of those little towers by the bridge. Got surrounded by brownpants on one side and greycollars on the other, ended up sitting on top of it for a while with a dragunov picking them off. Surprisingly few tried to climb up and get me. Cut the streak off at 777 since it's a nice number and I wanted to stop.

My two longest streaks were both with the PSG-90 on Old Fort Creek at the West and East Residences. My very longest was 405 kills. Some vests were replaced, artillery calls made, but moving back and forth with the frontline was mainly how I stayed alive so long.

"Farming" in RWR particularly is not just killing great amounts of bots safely, but also from positions you can easily recover their gear, i.e. at ladders or close-quarters.

Mine is over 1236 on Old Fort Creek. It was on the SAS server so, I think there were more enemies who were stronger because anytime we'd get to the last 2 objectives, the enemy would retake the whole map. They retook it 4 times. I can't even count how many times I called in x8 arty, not to farm, we desperately needed it so we wouldn't be overran (which we were 3 times regardless). The round lasted over 4 hours.

Actually, I think that the title is somehow misleading as the OP has written "farming" but in fact even the use of any types of covers(like walls, fences, sandbags, etc) may be considered as a farming in the in terms of meaning because enemies can't(or hardly can) see you, thus the chance to kill you is highly reduced...
And since we all know that nobody can not survive for a long time in direct battle(being into the enemy's range) that means there is no way to not be killed, unless you think that standing at a distant position with a long ranged weapon is not a farming indeed..... just a thought of mine. ;)

Would you consider using tanks direct combat?

I'm inclined to agree, the idea of farming just doesn't really apply to the kind of gameplay RWR entails. I tend to think of farming as a low effort repetitive task you can do for a long time. Even if you're armed with cover and a sniper rifle, enemies in RWR can advance so quickly and kill you in just a few hits, meaning you have to stay on your toes if you want to keep "farming" and not die.

I'd definitely consider it direct combat, especially if your driver is one of the ones who charges headlongs into enemy lines and gets rocketed in seconds. AI gunners require you to be pretty close too. :conwayfacepalm:
