Changing seat in a vehicle

I got fragged the other night because, I couldn't find the driver seat of the big attack boat.
I swam around the boat for a while to try different options, but it was hopeless.
Now, is there a way to change seats while in a vehicle, like in Battlefield or Arma ?

if not it would be a great option if you happen to get in from the wrong side...

Nope. Once seated, you can't change the seat without leaving the vehicle.

The ladder in the back? I'm doing in there in singleplayer and it won't make me the driver.

Anyway, the entrance is at the ladder on the right side of the boat.
