There were times when games were for players and there was no respec method of any sort.
Problem is, sometimes they brick builds to the ground. My clear time at least quadrupled with the recent patch. I'm not even gonna bother with passive tree, when they destroy the skill gem itself
If I ever get to a point where respeccing is too expensive for me to do and my current build isn't fun or powerful enough anymore I will just be done. Done as in I will leave and never come back until it's cheaper.
There is no harm in making it cheaper and affordable, currently if I wanted to respec everything it would cost more gold than I have and I haven't even been spending it, which is insane it needs to be like 20 times less than it is right now.
There are so many combinations and builds that I'd love to try out but can't.
And not to sound like a broken record, but this is EA. They already said it won't be merged with live. Whatever you do here doesn't matter because it's basically a league of its own that will probably be dead once it's out of EA. If you don't like things that ruin the efficiency of your progression, maybe a beta is not for you.
