Dear Grinding Gear Games Team,
I am writing to you with deep concern about a critical issue that has emerged in the new Dawn of the Hunt league of Path of Exile 2. Just three days after the league’s launch, a severe bug allowing players to reroll ritual items at no cost has fundamentally destabilized the in-game economy. This exploit is being widely abused, rendering trade systems and the auction house nearly unusable for new and casual players. The rapid inflation of high-tier items and the devaluation of core currencies threaten to alienate a significant portion of your player base, including those who were excited to engage with the fresh league.
As a dedicated player, I am profoundly worried about the long-term consequences of this situation. New players, who rely on balanced progression and fair trading to enjoy the game, now face an economy skewed in favor of those exploiting the bug. This undermines the competitive spirit and fairness that make Path of Exile exceptional.
Additionally, I feel compelled to highlight the actions of Twitch streamer ckaiba9, who is currently showcasing and promoting the use of this exploit to their audience. By framing the bug as an "intended game mechanic," they are encouraging widespread abuse and normalizing behavior that directly violates the integrity of the game. This not only accelerates the economic collapse but also sends a harmful message to the community, especially newer players who may view such streams as guidance.
I urge you to:
Immediately address the exploit with a hotfix or server-side patch.
Reset or roll back the economy if necessary to preserve fairness.
Take action against accounts that have abused the bug, including those publicly promoting it (e.g., ckaiba9’s gameplay).
Communicate transparently with the community to restore trust.
The Dawn of the Hunt league had incredible potential, but without swift intervention, its longevity and player satisfaction are at risk. I believe in GGG’s ability to resolve this and hope to see the game’s integrity upheld for all.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.
As if LEs trading was or is going to be without it`s exploits.
Ty, copied and sent
Poorly thought out by GGG? Definitely. But hey, 0.2 is the right time to be dumping poorly thought out mechanics into the game. It'll either be gone in a hotfix or in 0.3.
Also I'm not sure why people are so intently sucking on LE's bratwurst, anyone remember how awful LE was back in 2019? I do. Frankly I think LE is still mediocre.
