RIP PoE2

I'm enjoying my time and playing the Amazon. But the game is over now... this community is about to destroy the game. And I knew it... I effing knew this was coming by just listening to the tone of everyone's patch reviews. They are so unhappy that they got nurfed. I feel like I was getting so much more loot... I had full rares after like the 2nd zone.

People want the game to be PoE1. Just straight up... they don't want to play the campaign for 12 hours and not be done. They don't want to actually fight bosses... they want to 1 shot and run through literally everything and get to the endgame in a couple hours. They don't want stuff to be nurfed, buffs ONLY.

THIS is the exact same treatment that Diablo 4 got when they tried to show up with a slow ARPG. This community is going to destroy it because they all want PoE1 or a diablo4 paced game. It just doesn't work. I actually like the game... and the patch. I like the vision they have for the game. I'm in the 2% of the polls that the big streamers ran on how ppl feel about the game. Some like 80% of people hate it... I mean RIP. I cant believe this community ruined this for me within 12 hours. I didn't even get a full day. I been waiting for weeks for this patch...

Whatever... GG community. You win. I can't wait for them to nurf the health of everything by 90% so you cry babies can walk through the game with your 1 and 2 button builds. This trash ARPG community will never see eye to eye with any of the devs ever. They JUST want to walk through the game. I mean, 4 hours max.

PoE2 got casualized soon after release. People wanted more loot, easier enemies, tons of waypoints and to rush through the game pack to pack. PoE2 is just another ARPG speed running slopfest.

Well i played, letz say 120h with more or less "fun" and i payed about 25 bucks.
If i want to purchase a new 2025 70$ Game, i pay more than twice and the chance to play less than 100h with "fun" is incredible high xD So from this point paying 25$ for 100h gameplay is good or?

So that´s my excuse for playing POE2 xD Im sorry for spending 180h but now i truly recognize it.... This patch opened my eyes. :/

I like the journey until endgame, nothing changed with this patch. Did try the huntress but just ain't for me so will wait for next update.

The melodramatics is embarrassing. its a bad patch, it can happen to any game. its early access and if anyone listens to players its GGG. grow a pair yikes

complaining about complainers, makes you also a complainer.

and hopefully, the game will be fine, but symptoms of negative trends are evident, and shouldn't be discarded without proper consideration.

many people are (or were) expecting this game to be free + paid extras like poe1, but for now, it doesnt look it will go that way soon (or soon enough).

is also true the pacing can make or break a game. if some aspects of the current version of the game are making it "too easy", that can lead to boredom and lack of engagement in long term, which then can decrease sales. less sales, less money for development, less money for development, is the fast lane to the graveyard.

Haters reported all the Fun/Pro builds to GGG and GGG took action seriously by nerfing them all to rock bottom until unplayable, making sure you are not having fun anymore with your build, haters gonna be very happy with GGG's move, haters hate to see you having fun, imagine spending 100 hours building a tall skyscraper, just to get reported by haters to GGG and GGG knocks it down in just one day.

true, but is not a small game, by a small team or studio. the predecessor of this game, is literally the spiritual successor or early diablo games. is "early access", but thats a double edged sword in development.

they did what blizzard stopped been able to do: there are no more good alternatives. if this game could lead to either or both games die, you can bet it will be a long time before someone else makes something close in quality and amount of content.

probably, like with many recent games, the main obstacle for this game isnt only fake game journalists, but fake fans or players, that are actually tourists that hate grinding and typical "git gud" challenges.

hopefully, those will become more visible through some mechanism or tactic, and then ignored, so suggestions by actual players, and actual supporters, can help improve it.
