Path of Exile 2

No mandatory economy reset for 0.2
I personally dislike it as it divides the player base which causes all sorts of issues in the economy but who wants to play on Standard with all the ridiculous inflation? This is only good if you play SSF. Overall a questionable decision from GGG.

Still, I hope most people still choose to play with the new servers and enjoy the economy reset.

SO you are ignoring everything else that points out this was going to happen?

spend the nest few days smashing orbs into items and have some fun

You are wrong with this one. I know some people that just started and play very little. I am sure they wont restart (imagine a new player playing in act 3 at the moment) and missing the updates would feel bad for those.
This is fine and because most people start new is is probably not affecting you at all.

That said the youtube streamer bubble will find a way to spoil anything they can buy logging in to their old characters. That could steal some exitement. But i mean that does not change the fact that you get the most of a game by staying away from that bubble anyway.

That said i think the fresh economy new start every league is a good design once the game is out.

i bet 10$ on day 5 just silly little kids find out how to duplicate items again and fk up the market even more with the new items on xesht xD 80% is rmting anyways cause crafting system is simply stupid and not engaging . and yes ..youll see freezing will carry you again ...if i think about it its pretty boring and i dont waste my time on this anymore till they nerf this boring gameplay and fix armor!
I like that it's a fresh economy (still think it'll end up a mess though) and I understand some people just don't want to restart...my main gripe is still no AH.

How does that cause issues in the economy exactly??? How is this any different from any other League separation???? Every new league with economy reset has been just fine and you say this will cause issues all of a sudden. I don't follow your logic.

Its a good decision, it means people who want to stick to their current characters can do so, and people who want to start fresh can do the same. Why you would have any issues with this is beyond me, its a complete non-issue

You cant stick with your current character though. It's gonna get bricked and new players might not know the optimal way to play is with a new economy.

No reason to play the game without the economy reset . It had to be done . RMT's are rubbing their hands with this horrible decision .

I'm pretty critical of GGG, and honestly kind of dislike them and the way they do things, but this is one thing I think they got right. At least for early access. Open the field to as much testing right off the bat as possible. Get those high level things being tested immediately, spreading the player base out and get as much feedback and data as possible to get things fixed. Especially if they want to speed up their timeline a bit, and get to 1.0 release before 2027. Early Access is also the time to experiment around a little bit.

It also, personally, gave me a little motivation to actually come back and try it again rather than wait. I play SSF, and won't be touching "economy" league, because I don't want the game to feel like a job, where you just work for currency then exchange that currency for stuff. I also wasn't really interested in starting over. It's honestly something I hope they continue into full release, but am not sure if that is the best thing at that point.

Edit: NM, I just watched the first part of the Q&A they did with Zigzag or something (I typically avoid streamers/content creators), and they basically stated it isn't even worth listening to players not playing on fresh start league. I don't understand their reasoning behind that, but whatever. They are basically just throwing some table scraps to players like me this one time only.

I don't know what it is, but these guys just rub me the wrong way and I find them and their decision making/communication painfully unlikable.

Its because people who stay on lvl80+ old char won't have any idea how the new support gems work on the level up process and how they interact in the game also your gonna get nurfed with the changes anyway and have to learn why and how to fix your build and what works well and do you really wanna try and do that in t15 maps.

Leagues are a staple of APRGS, letting standard league have the changes and content is the only time i can remember they have done this but it is only for this one patch after this youll be stuck with this patch/league changes and mechanics forever its how it is.

I will play new league until I get to lvl 100 in the old one. There is no reason why I shoud switch to a new league...

Your one of very very very few people who bother doing this as there is no advantage in doing it other than personal goal or race be the worlds first like Carn just not worth the time for most people and just want todo the content

There is no advantage in playing PoE2...
And yes I get the full content in the old league too, so there is no reason to switch to the new one.
And the economy in the new league is dead after 3-4 weeks too.
So just a waste of time to play again over 1000h to get to the same stage u were before.

Well good luck with that hope you get out what you want from being 100 and the nerfs don't screw you too much.
