The developers released only ONE PATCH in the past 7 days and that was to fix a crash. Unfortunately, more crashes are occurring!
Get the PoE Uncrasher by Kapps from github, only thing that keeps my pc from locking up completely.
in 17min of gameplay i had 3 freezes! wtf!?
i came here just to check because my laptop just froze for the Nth time and im scared it will brick it...

This "uncrasher" is useless when it comes to crashes during the game, NOT loads. Everyone has already figured out what crutches to use to fix crashes during loading, but the game crashes just in the middle of maps, often breaking them.
"People on the forums/Reddit discovered that if, after launching PoE 2, you go into Task Manager and remove CPU0/CPU1 from the process affinity for the PoE2 executable, the crashes go away. That involves doing it every time you launch PoE2 though, and it also prevents your main 2 cores from being used at all times instead of just during loading screen."
This worked for me. the game itself still crash once a while, but it doesn't freeze up the PC anymore.

the only thing this prevents is your whole pc crashing, I've used this since the crashes started occuring for me but it is not a fix nor anything practical. You have to do it every single time u open the game. And also your hardware still gets damaged even tho your whole pc isn't crashing
Another post here explains to disable CPU boost in bios by setting it to 99% instead of 100% or something.
After checking that it run on the steam deck, I switched to Linux. Haven't had a crash since.
just woke up, launched the game and it froze, tried again and it froze again :lunar2019deadpanpig:
