Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

PoE 2 crash fix ? Anyone
Has anyone figured out a way the game to stop crashing . I've played several hours without any problems .

I started playing for 2nd time and I can't even start the game most of the times now , without the game completely freezing my PC .

I am with 7800 x3d and 4070 ti super . This is ridiculous .

Please anyone ??!?

I feel it's down to the devs not us - there is no solution until they fix the code related DX12 crashes which happen to me quite often. It's early access and expected there are issues to address, but in the meantime I can't even risk the Trials/Ultimatums anymore as it guaranteed to crash at some stage during.

Hopefully, this weeks patch will help.

The fix is to refund the game as per the laws dictate.

You can try PoEUncrasher, a third party program which combines multiple workarounds but as I've said it is a third party program so you will be the one to decide whether it is worth it or not.

GGG is not acknowledging the existence of the hard crashes. Maybe as their steam score drops they might be inclined to look at it... Therefore the best way to get this fixed is to write a negative review on steam explaining this issue.

Which is why I am asking anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam.

I already did that , but I was really looking to play it further , as the first several hours were really satisfying .

This is just sad. I guess its a specific problem to certain hardware , as this issue not seems to occur to all users .

Then we wait for development.

Here's why the devs can't seem to fix it. I have the same hardware and no crashes or failure to load or anything. I have the latest windows 11. That seems to be part of the issue. It seems like it might be hard to pin down.

Can you tell me what are your settings in-game ? Maybe its something there ?

The review system is designed for this type of interaction. Its entire purpose is this. When a game has problems, players/customers write a review about it, which in turn informs both the potential buyers and the developers about these problems. If the developers fix the issues, the reviewer then reevaluates their review. This is the intended use of review system.

In PoE2's case by making hard crash issues gain visibility on the steam store we can both force GGG to act and help other potential customers/players to know that buying PoE2 is a gamble. This way at worst they are able to refund the game once they encounter the crash because they would know that crashes keep on coming and will not be fixed. Which is why I am asking anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam.

Its designed for honest good faith reviews, not people going around asking EVERYONE to leave a negative review because they dont know how to configure a machine properly.

Okey I will bite , how to configure my machine properly ? I've never had to configure a game in order to not hard crash my system .

If your system is hard crashing, its def a hardware issue.

I cant just "tell" you how to do it. There are way too many variables, but a game will not cause your system to hard crash. You need to start troubleshooting your end instead of just joining the small minority bandwagon screaming "its the game".

>90% of issues, especially from people that come to STEAM of all places looking for answers is user end.

How it is user end , when this is the single and only game I ever experience where I have hard crash like that ?

i have move the windows roaming folder, to my fastest drive and i play with vulkan. the game writes shader to the roaming folder thats the reason for crasches i think.

Imagine being so stupid, that you actually come on here acting like its "user error" that the game is not stable.

Either Microsoft or GGG needs to fix it. It's on one of them, not on the user.

How have you managed to go this far and not realise this is a nvidia issue they said as much in the interview and nvidia has said it should be fixed in the next driver release. If you don’t have a nvidia card your prob on H2 then reinstall windows!
