Data Breach Confirmed

In the interview with the game devs they confirmed people were actually hacked due a data breach.

I'd love to see where all of the people who denied there was a data breach are. Turns out you could absolutely be hacked and lose everything and it was 100% GGG's fault.

NO, not a data breach, it was social engineering breach. No data was leaked.

hundreds if not thousands accounts got hacked, look at the forums, they are full of it.

The important thing to take from what he said is that extra measures have been put in place, that should have been there to start with, to stop it from happening again.

He shouldn't have spoken about it like that so unprepared on the spot though. Something official and properly planned would have been better, which is coming. So many people are going to misinterpret what he just said.

There is a difference between a hacked account and a hacked server. The server was not hacked. The bad actor only had access to a hacked account, which allowed certain priveleges. ZERO data was breached.

BIG difference.
