Minion and Melee builds will NEVER be top tier

End-game in ARPGs ALWAYS ends up with you kiting enemies/bosses to avoid getting one-shotted. Minions and melee builds will never survive this, thus you will never progress as much as a ranged/magic user.

Think about this before creating your next character and pushing ladder.

Ice skeletons, jewels for crit, eye of the winter that applies critical weakness for a few seconds, fully juiced tier 16-17 boss with 6 modifiers dies within 3-4 seconds, the downside is mapclear is pretty average, you can't delete everything on the screen like monks or sorcs

Minion builds require no skill and should get nerfed based on this fact. Magic and Ranged users require more APM (action per minute) compared to minion users who run around picking up loot. No minion build should be in the top 100 Ladder.

lvl95 infernalist here, pinnacle bosses took 2-5 seconds and T15-lvl82 maps also same. My gear is pretty good but I'm playing no-trade so its doable. Only annoying thing for minion builds are not their toughness but their damn hitbox-AI pathing. Oftentimes minions will block each other, reducing their effectiveness dramatically and also stuck doorways and narrow corridors to fck you up.
