No Build variety.
You say wtf man.
I say Lightning and elemental.
I literaly have feeling that game punish for not using elemental damage.
Everywhere you look its Shock type of nodes and in reality Lightnibg builds not only Overperform but also everywhere on passive tree.

I liked my Galvanic Merc . I like Lightning concept.
But other types like Fire or Frost are underperforming.
PHYSICAL is uust pure....

Please add more fire/cold clasters for merc side.

I PLAY my own build on maps now. It feels great , looks great.
I do Physical damage Bleed crossbow.
Clearing screens with armour explosion.
Low Damage on Bosses.
WHY??
there is only 3 skills in Crossbow for physical damage to use for bleed...
And except armorpiece rou ds they all suck...
And BLEED itself sucks...low damage...

GEAR ROLLS

You can have phys% with elem %
You can have Damage of Phyc and Lighting
But you CANT have double phyc
Which means you are punished for not doing elemental in build.

CONCLUSION
so many great combos and build building mechanics but they all come to similar things and build types = elemental or Lightning.

There is no way to convert damage from elemental to physicsl right?

Also how does bleed work?
If i shoots a lot of small damage bolt - they stack more bleed?

Bleed is initially based on physical damage and has a base magnitude of that damage (if I remember right over 5 seconds, once per second without modifiers).

If it's the same, initially only the highest bleed counts. It does 100% more damage if an enemy moves, or if you accelerate or whatever the term is that makes it do that extra damage.

There are multiple ways to increase the bleed damage. You can boost it's magnitude modifier, it's duration, how fast it does damage, boost the base damage, and there are a few nodes that will accelerate it (make it do moving damage without enemies moving), especially if you crit.

Crits will increase the bleed as well as the base damage is what the magnitude is based off.

A high crit chance (or auto crit from say....snipe), with a high bleed chance (50% base + 20% from node on crit + 30% from additional nodes), with a good magnitude increase can set up an enemy to lose ALOT of health over 5 seconds (and I believe there are multiple nodes that can extend it's duration as well.

I forget the base magnitude for bleed but I "think" it was 15% (and 5 second base duration).

I have had bleed as part of my attacks etc, but never specced in bleed and am not sure if you have nodes like in PoE 1 that let you have more than 1 bleed effect (I know you can have more than 1 poison multiple ways).

To me, in general, bleed just wasn't worth specializing in since you can just do a ton of damage instead, and attack so fast, that damage per second just isn't that worth it.

It's nice to have as a side bonus to damage that you don't have to focus too much on. There is equipment that can cause you to bleed fairly often if you have a fast attack speed. There is a helmet that makes you poison on any crit for instance. Combine that with snipe + all the more bonuses (window etc) and a bleed support gem, and your 1 snipe can do a ton of damage (starting off a fight like that if your not going to bother with an xbow on alt weapon slot for plasma can really take a boss down fast).

Snipe works great with poison but especially bleed since it not only auto crits, but has a large crit multiplier. That makes even a non-specced bleed attack do significant damage. 15% per second over 5 seconds without any other modifiers means you do an additional (more) 75% damage because of that bleed support gem (as long as it actually goes off, but you can just fire another snipe if it doesn't. If you have auto poison on crit as well, that is 20% magnitude (if I remember right) over 2 seconds. 2-3 snipes and the bleed poison damage can add up significantly.

Pumping up the bleed with nodes etc, can add to that, but if you have the option to pump the BASE damage instead (and you almost always do) that not only boosts your bleed poison, but the base attacks significantly, which over all is far better.

So in summary, there may be specialized bleed builds, but over my characters I have always found that focusing on your base damage, and building that up as much as possible and just using vanilla bleed/poison in combo....worked better.

There are poison bow skills etc that literally have a much longer duration than poison naturally has, which makes them very effective, against without spending any specific nodes on them.
I have put together something here that really goes off https://youtu.be/aPaEBLEX8hI
+1 for Herald of Iron for physical builds.

So original...

My build does zero elemental damage :) I am farming Lvl 80 Trial of Chaos of currency, 15 minute runs taking no damage and currently finishing up citadels to take down Ash boss. Also offed Trialmaster multiple times and did a couple Simulacrums.

Pure PHYS bone magic.

META might be narrow, but there are things outside the meta discovered every day. Maybe a Titan Warrior who stops time for alll enemies forever? A recent fun build using Living Bomb and maxed out Temporal Chains that literally stops all mobs from doing anything... Another fun option.
