Complete PC crash when travelling to the Clearfell (sp?) encampment?

I just want to make sure that this isn't just me experiencing this, but when I go back to the town there's a chance that my pc will freeze up entirely. I switched to Vulkan to try and get this to stop happening and am not sure if there's a fix or something even temporary I can do. Thanks guys!

Are you using Windows 11 Version 24H2? Folks are having problems with hard crashing while using that version of Windows.

I am. I attempted to rollback, but it seems like I was only able to rollback the latest security update. Not sure how to fully get back to 23H2.

From my understanding Microsoft releases an update every second Tuesday of every month, so we're looking at January 14th for a POSSIBLE solution to these hard freezes. That is IF Microsoft actually fixes the issue and releases an update.

that particular dll is part of the boot system... one of the first things loaded on a pc.. System calls are hidden it it. Corrupted media is that it signals. The ssd is over heating.

its not just you. many people are having this problem. ive hard crashed about 20 times since launch.

Looks like I will try to rule out the SSD overheating by moving it over to my other drive, I have a cooler on that one so I will see if that makes an improvement, otherwise sounds like it’s on windows’ end. Still odd as I’ve never seen this happen in any game I’ve played.

yeah ive been having the same issues as im also on win 11. for me what helped stop the frequent crashes was turning off nvdia reflex, once i did that i was finally able to play more than 10 minutes and i played for about 2 hours till i crashed again
