The Bosses in this game...
...are way too overtuned/overpowered/broken.

- Bosses are way, way, way too bullet spongy and take way too long to kill.
- Bosses attack spam way too fast. Pacing is an absurd rush.
- Bosses fill the arenas with constant, massive aoes, often leaving you to die with no where to move.
- Bosses one hit kill. Even tanks. Tanks, with shields, 1k HP, and 75% damage reduction. Not a tank? Spam dodge roll and still get 1 shot in dodge roll.
- If anyone goes down, bosses attack spam and there is absolutely no windows to res your friend.
- Bosses completely ignore your minions and pets. Even your tank pets.
- Bosses have absurd resistances and requiring 2k to break armour in the case of Blackjaw.

I play this game with my man as a witch with minions, he is a absolute tank with shield. We are currently fighting Blackjaw. This has become ridiculous and at this point it is obvious that it is not just a couple badly designed bosses with horrible "mechanics".

"Blah, blah, blah, get good." We are good. Very good. Definitely above average co-op players. We play a lot of hard games, including "hard" ones, so we know the difference between "hard" and "bad" boss/game designs.

These bosses feel specifically designed to kill you and screw you over. Like the devs actively design them to make you fail. Not for *FUN*.

We have also tried fighting in different ways, me with different pet combos and he with different skills and weapons. We are both geared in yellows, oranges, and above the zone level.

It feels like this game is focused on the "gotta go fast", min/max, meta builds only, play this way with this *specific build* and this *specific gear* with these *specific rolls* or don't play at all mindset.

What's the point of a custom build if you force us to use only your min/max meta cookie cutter builds?

I love this game. I love the setting. I love the design, the writing, the voice acting. I gave it a positive review. My man and I *want* this game to succeed. We want to love it. We want to co-op play a lot, spend money, and make this one of our active games together.

Please, take this feedback to heart, Devs. I am writing this while quite upset after having fun and then hitting a boss wall. Again. I would not speak up if I did not feel it needed to be heard.

I love the game. But please, fix the bosses. Thank you. :lovegrenade:

I've never looked up any sort of builds and have never really hit a wall yet. Act1 cruel on my lvl 48 ranger. Act3 on my 35 sorc. It's not that bad, idk the problem tbh. I've done a lot of solo, and a lot of co op with my friend who's obsessed with warrior lol. This guy has made at least 5 warriors (we play both HC and SC) and nothing else.

bad build, if you cant make one search online

You can fight every boss without taking damage, this is clearly a skill issue.

Bad players want GGG to nerf the game for them. Smh...

Are you picking up everything to sell or disenchant? I usually just stash everything I find then sort gear when things get harder and it definitely makes a difference having level appropriate gear and enough resistances

If your gear is up to par no campaign boss should be a problem. A good weapon will make the boss die quickly and any decent rare armor (regardless of other stats) should allow you to survive most attacks.

I'd strongly suggest saving any +resist rings you find as slapping on a couple to counter whatever boss you're fighting can make a big difference.

There are some "1 shot" mechanics but even those should be survivable with really good defense.

One thing you might be missing is "+ 0.XX charges per second" on your flask, which can make bosses a game of attrition that you will almost always win.

Me either. nearing 20 hours, and due other things going on in my life at the time, i never even played the first game. people just don't want to learn the game mechanics and just want to stand in the same spot button mashing.

I have to say that this is one area I could not agree with less even if I tired to. Once you learn the bosses they are mostly very easy. It just takes a bit of time to learn them. The other thing to point out is you will never be weaker in the game then you are in your first run. As you grow and develop you get many tools to make it easier. I just love that as your efforts feel rewarded in that way.

With so many games with easy bosses, it is ok to have one game with somewhat harder bosses.

Blackjaw the fire woolf seems to be every casual nightmare cuz it has 3 chained attacks insead of only 1 they use to.

It will take time for them to figure it out :lunar2019laughingpig:

and here's a take, "bad boss design" when literally half of souls games bosses follow this principle.

Comedy indeed !

So you are asking to make bosses okay for you since as you literally wrote you don't want to min/max, you don't want to roll and you think it's not working, you don't want to make balanced builds.

But (in my humble opinion) the game would become incredibly easy for people min/maxing, rolling (it's working) and playing serious builds. I think I would stop playing it because it would become boring.

The bosses being hard are my favorite thing, it’s a real challenge, that Djin lady took 6 tries but I learned and overcame.
Other things might need tuning imo but I’m still super noob

I actually have really enjoyed the boss fights once I got used to the mechanics. The boss fights in the game are more about timing rather than spamming your attacks.
