PSA Increased Item Rarity Actually does something!

I am playing through my 2nd character now and I decided to get some equipment with this stat on them. To my surprise this actually vastly increased the quality of drops I got as well as the currency orbs I got. If you are lacking in currency I would highly recommend getting at least 3 pieces of gear with that stat on them. I promise you won't regret it.

Item rarity is an extremely powerful stat in PoE 2, get as much of it as you can without gimping your character.

I wish I had more of it, but I can't really find much gear with high strength, life, chaos res and rarity.

It depends on when you started your first character and your alt. GGG increased loot drops by tenfold since release.

Hate to be that guy but magic find in the acts does absolutely nothing.

However magic find gear in a map that has a good intrinsic drop rate. now thats a different story.

I mean even getting some low rolls on a few pieces of gear will make a huge difference in drops. I had around 30% from my garbage gear and I was getting exalts much more frequently than my main. Look at it like an investment. You will definitely get your orbs back

its just basic math. if you have 85% increased rarity of magic items found but the map has little 0-4% base % to rare items because its act 1-3 its negligible and a waste of stat on item."
Maps are different however.

Also your first character was probably before they decided to buff currency drops.

But even now on my character after the buff that is close to level 60 is still getting less drops. I get the theory part of this but in practice if feels noticeable. That's all I am saying. I got more exalts with that stat.
