Fix the crashing

This is unacceptable. My game literally crashes once an hour at minimum right now in the loading screen. What kind of amateurs does GGG hire (probably DEI hires)???

a lot of people are crashing on the new version of windows 11 with gaming laptops the pc can heat up to 100 C very fast using 100% of every core so you can't alt tab you have to alt f4 and damage the hard drive. its pathetic but it happens with diablo 4 and its a windows issue as far as i know

You being poor and unable to afford a decent CPU doesnt mean other players are not crashing.

This isn't a you issue, i have it also with the first start up, second one works. So its strange.

Try Vulkan not DX12 (if possible). For me that was the solution.

I'm having the issue as well. Not only hard crashing (twice), I'll randomly crash to desktop without error code while playing (20+ times).

im running the i9-14900k in my rig and i was getting constantly crashes due to DX12 after switching it to Vulkan iv been playing just fine all the time. FYI i do have a perfectly fine CPU and up to date on the bios too.

This is what I did. Until I finished act 2. Now everytime i try loading into the swamps, crash.

Running i9-14900kf with a 4090. The thing is, I can start a new char and play other chars. I cant load the swamps though. Def not a pc issue.

Im still crashing too, espacially at loading screens but the reason is a little bit of all you mentioned here already i guess.

When i started the game first time (Win11, DX 12) i connected to the german Server Fankfurt (im from germany) crashed instantly....

Next i did some driver updates...still crashing...
I changed over to DX11...this made things a little better but still crashes at loading screens.
Then i switched to the London Server...this made things much better.
Still crashing but not this much.

After the last patch i switched back to the german server and its much better now.
Im still crashing here and there but not this much anymore.

Mainly the problem is not on the player side i think (if your system ist up to date and fulfil the requirements). Its the netcode of the game and the servers.

Take a look at the last two major patches. They've been fixing a ton of crashing bugs. There's clearly many more to go but don't expect any more fixes until next year.

Crashing is almost always a user end issue with some kind of compatibility. Saying “fix it” isn’t how things work.

I've read somewhere here that some of the crashing was W11 24H update or something like that

I got 7900 x amd and 4080 Nvidia. Been playing fine since day 1 until today.
Server lag , heavy rubberbanding and disconnects. Combat sounds tend to dissapear and only music playing . Tell GGG to fix their ♥♥♥♥ dont wave your epeen or speak for majority of players. They broke something today.
