For people actually interested by that question: cap your resistances.
This is something far too "discreet" as you reach end game in the overall onboarding. The game should tell you that resistances should be capped.
The game hits so hard that even the last 5% over the whole 75 makes a huge difference. Cap your resistance, and you should be fine. Avoid minus resistances waystones and elemental weakness up until you have a better life pool and better understanding of the overrall game.
Also avoid any map that have stun threshold for monsters, they are too deadly even with a stun charm.
lol. not everybody is as good as you
I played a lot of diablo, a bit of poe1 and came to poe2. as a monk life is not easy, died 437 times.. my build had also 90% evasion and 60%+ resistances still u get one shot from a random no-elite creep
so stop being smart and maybe give some good suggestions or just stick to playing
You don't trade with randoms?
You ever fast food, whose cooking your food who is taking your order? a random is
You can't goto a trade website, find a nice item, click on let the person interested. travel to their place, put in your 1 exalted, hover the item they want to trade. and click trade. simple. no talking necessary.
You can do that?
Yeah your mindset is why you got issues.
The endgame its not about defense too, you mention so much defense stuff.
Whats your DPS, not over 20k, thats why you gotta trade. Your dps is the reason not your defense.
Go watch some streamers for a minute, they not taking hits they melting stuff before they even do their mechanics.
DPS, and Trade that is what will solve your issue.
Reason why you get low xp is that you play low lvl maps
D2 was made at a time when you'd buy a game, it wouldn't be updated except maybe an expansion and you'd play it for years before moving on, now we have a lot more choice in quality games so small friction points will cause people to walk away.
Not even Fromsoft's legendary difficulty could stand up to this, their worst selling game is Sekiro because it's very difficult and only allows you to play one style, their best selling game is Elden Ring because it's the easiest and gives you the most choice in builds. They are both objectively difficult games but one is a lot easier than the other due to design and quality of life.
When you do a map same level as you, 10% is like 30-45mins.
The Problem is not the EXP penalty on lv 70 ... if you have a build that's kinda working, you can run T5-T10 without much problems. I just reach lv 84 with my 2nd Character. Lv 83, playing Tier 15 Maps with Map mod +1 level. I played 2 maps and got 105%. So I am lv 84 with 5% now. That's a hell of a lot of EXP. The issue is lv 90+ and EXP penalty because the last valid monster level you can run is kinda lv 82/84 depending on your gear. Dying in those while being lv 92 really hurts because you lose EXP you needed several hours for.
And this EXP loss serves no purpose... This game is about finding loot and ever increasing your power. but if you demotivated by dying, you are scared of trying more difficult content to adjust items and playstyle efficiantly. Therefore you lose your ♥♥♥♥... Yes, the last 10 Skillpoints don't do much... But if this game is about finding loot, then why care to make a EXP penalty? This just means that Semi-High geared characters are locked out from "basic" content that's somewhat remotely close to their level.
They can increase the time it takes to get from 90 to 100 by 10 times and I wouldn't matter... If it takes me 1 month for a level, I wouldn't matter... I just don't want to lose any progress on the way. My Warrior is lv 94 and I hit a wall... I get 1% per map... maybe 1.7% if I have a good breach in it. that's about 8 maps per 10% Means 80-90 Maps for1 level... dying at least once or twice due to lags, bugs, freezes or simply due to unknown damage sources makes the feeling even more sour after losing map, mods on atlan AND the EXP....
Where is the reason in this?
