So $28 D4 cosmetic bad - $62 PoE2 cosmetic good?
Just trying to get this playerbase's opinions down.

I paid $30 for d4 on sale a couple months ago and just paid $30 to get into poe2. So same price, more expensive cosmetics?

This is just a bunch of gaslighting non sense. At least compared to GD or LE. Comparing with D4, the worst of the bunch....

Ill list it for you. d4 paid game, poe2 paid early access. Apples to apples tied up. Better yet we wont even include poe2 early access and just say its free and imagine you waited to play it on full release. So well put poe2 ahead 40 dollars.

d4-
10 dollar season pass for multiple full sets of gear cosmetics, multiple weapon and off hand cosmetics, pets, mounts, mount cosmetics, back cosmetics, portal cosmetics along with a plethora of other seasonal cosmetics.

Poe2-

45 dollars minimum for a full set of gear cosmetics. that's at least 6 full d4 season passes worth of purchases seeing that in a diablo 4 season pass you earn back nearly a majority of what you paid for in cosmetic store currency and can put that towards your next pass so all in all if you bought all the seasons so far that's 10 seasons worth of cosmetics.

Total equivalent cosmetic value between games. Diablo 4 120 dollars between base game, expansion, and a battle pass assuming you have purchased every battle pass since release.

POE2 equivalent in expense 420 just for 10 armor sets which you'll have gotten more in d4 passes, 150 dollars for 10 portals which again you'd have gotten more in d4 passes, the only 3 pets you can buy in poe2 40 dollars which you'd have more in d4 with the passes so far. Then you add in the visual effects your looking at well over 700 dollars to get far less cosmetics i have been able to get from diablo.

To say POE2 cosmetics are over priced is the understatement of the century! If we could include similar extra cosmetics you get from d4 like mounts, mount amour, weapons, off hands you'd probably be looking at well over a 1000 dollars for poe2...

D4 Standard-Edition at release 70 Bucks (PS5 or XBox was 80 Bucks) + MTX
D4-Addon 40 Bucks

PoE - F2P at release with already more endgame content at Early Access compared to a B2P D4+Addon (that had several seasons for getting more content but refused to do so)

Actually you paid $30 for 300 Gold which you can use for MTX (300 Gold is $30 worth - so you have gotten the entry for free you could say)

D4 cared about selling you a battle-pass and mtx. The game is a shell. PoE2 has depth, is free (you CHOSE to pay) and has more depth and challenge than D4 could dream of.

Well for 40 USD you get cosmetics + Access + IngameCurrency worth 30 Dollars
Seems like a good deal.

Could you tell me how much the Diablo 4 early access version was and how many unique good looking skins you got?

And i completely forgot about the battlepass.

I also liked how POE1 updated the standard game while Diablo 4 - at least when i played it pretty much ignored standard when it came to new season content.

You paid 30$ for d4 and got no ingame money with. You got poe2 with 30$ ingame currency.

Packs in poe are the best, like core packs you get a ♥♥♥♥ ton of cosmetics you pay for + you get the money you put in in game currency.

Same the most expensive core pack is 400$ + but it stays for nearly a year you got the option to pay every steps seperatly but again you put 60$ for a pack you get all the cosmetics + your 60$ in ingame currency for other cosmetics. Imo it's the best business model for a cash shop i've seen. + They do sales every 1/2 weeks.

Nah at first i didnt check carefully and thought it was way too expensive, but now i find it 100% worth it.

So i buy packs every 1, 2 months and my wallet thanks me.

"I paid extra to get into early access for a game, why did that cost more than waiting for a released game to be 50% off?"

D4 will never be free and its entry price was 100$+. In D4 they tricked players into paying for stuff in the first season with a simple miss click. In D4 they charged full price for the DLC. In D4 lots of high proced cosmetics & In D4 i had 80'ish uniques that were all almost identical, cough.

PoE2 is free at v1.0 launch. Players who spent a lot in the first PoE get early access free, the rest of us pay for that access. I think its clear I like PoE2's model much more than Diablo's.

Have fun :urist::mead:

Divide that price in half because you're getting MTX points from the supporter packs at equivalent $$$ value. I'm not a fan of the pricing but let's be honest about how you're getting those points.

You need all the stashes in PoE1 and soon in 2 if you really want to go deep into the game. QoL of having all the stashes is mandatory.

D4 base game $30 on a sale and I think $45 with the base expansion

PoE1 right now, at least $60 to $70 bucks to have them all (stashes)

PoE2 right now, $30 as an entree fee, plus at least another $40 to get the available special stashes.

Cosmetics are WAY expensive in PoE, and they rarely give cosmetics for free.

P.D. Keep in mind, that PoE fanboys are always high on copium, and will defend their game, at all cost.

of course dude, cos GGG just a widdle indie dev and PoE is, without any doubt, and no arguments possibly given the pen-ultimate everything, ever.

Paid cosmetics in a F2P game ===> Expected
Paid cosmetics in a $70 game ===> Greedy BS

The most accurate summary with the least space used.

There's a massive difference when it's for a game that's free to play as opposed to a game that costs $70.

Yeah i'm diablo IV player too , and this game force you to pay only for stashes at least 200$ and i think still is not enough ,, you have premium , quadrupled stash ,, currency ,, flask ,, alot of stupidity
