Meanwhile as per typical ARPG, common mobs will die in one strong attack or 2-3 weaker AoE ones.
I've been playing souls games since you were in diapers I assure you lmao. They quite literally took inspiration from the souls series, why wouldn't they?
This isn't PoE, its not even close to PoE 1 honestly, its a completely different game (which I like)
It feels like you think you said something smart here. A lot of people recognize that this game took heavy inspiration from souls.
Yeah, if you have a strong enough spell in Elden Rings, you can one shot mobs of common monsters. Is Elden Rings an ARPG? It's also extremely slow, just like this game.
Not sure why it is much closer to DS because of that. Also it's the same case in PoE when you don't know what you are doing. So it's not PoE but it is?
And if you think the bosses are bullet sponges, I am certain you are using a wrecked build.
Bosses aren't One-Cast-Kill like how they are in Diablo 4, sure, but they aren't bullet sponges either if you use adequately the tools the game gives you.
in Dark Souls, you had to i-frame dodge roll everything (if you can't parry them)
in PoE2, you have bullet hell; you actually don't need the dodge roll that much either
PoE2 boss fights is probably still closer to MMORPG raid boss fights, but with less AoE indicators
