Love the WASD controls
Direct movement controls wasn't something I was expecting with a POE game, but I'm glad they added it. This game seems to favor WASD over mouse since there's so much movement and dodging in combat. I was struggling using the mouse, switched over to WASD, and it became so much easier. If anyone's using mouse and is having trouble, I suggest you switch over. Direct movement's also made the gameplay more skill-based and interesting for me. All in all, a welcome addition to POE.

It's atm. But hopefully later on it more polished

I was pleasantly surprised also, but honestly it starts to hurt my fingers after a couple hours. I used a 'force move' key assignment in poe1 (spacebar) to move through zones, and I can't do that here.

This ♥♥♥♥ is pure carpal tunnel torture. I'll probably switch to a mouse if I pick the game back up.

Try pressing the buttons softer lol

that is what I disabled immediately as a first thing ;) plays best with original settings mouse click movement ... because u WILL NEED whole left hand and ALL fingers to do all spells and rolls. so no, its not best way to play it with WSAD, just an second, less quality option.

Agreed. They need to enable both mouse and WASD as movement options at the same time. Mouse would be useful for just general traversal to give your fingers a break, and then you can switch over to WASD for combat. You can do that in Diablo 4 and Warhammer 4K Inquisitor, so I'm not sure why they make you choose between one or the other here.

If people found a way to play MMOs with WASD and 30+ skill slots I think we'll manage in PoE 2.

As a player of Battlerite, I must admit I love WASD on isometric games. It feels much more organic and real. You are much more connected to the game.

WASD movement worked well in WoW because you could use the mouse to click directly on the skill bar. This approach doesn't work in poe2 because you need to use the mouse to actually aim the skill. WoW allowed you to lock on to your intended target so that you didn't have to manually aim each ability.
I enjoy WASD very much. If feels very smooth with the fast paced action. It makes some of the "bulletstorm" very manageable.

I do like how they tried to innovate ARPG to the next level. It feels a lot more actiony.

WASD is the future. Other ARPGs (Titan Quest II, Grim Dawn 2) will fail if they don't implement WASD. No going back now.

Stupid, silly attitude from a likely mental child

I don't like it or how floaty it makes the character look, even in mouse mode the movement looks strange sometimes when the character is looking the wrong way and walking backwards for a bit after using certain skills. Not against it being an option or anything. If you like it then you like it. I don't. It's just a matter of preference.

Haven't played a ranged build yet though. I imagine it makes kiting a lot easier since you can walk backwards/strafe and cast/fire at the same time. Needs a lot of erratic movements to do that with just a mouse.

Yeah i love WASD. I feel bad for people lacking buttons on their mouse though. Must be a ♥♥♥♥♥ trying to use your skills and stay moving on the same hand.

I use Q, E, R, F, and C for the extra spells, Z and X for Inventory and Skills panel, and #2 and #3 for Life/Mana Potions. Everything is within my single left hand, and WASD for movement. No problems for me.
Started using on endgame, after using, there is no back
