CPU Stress

Hi i have Heavy problems with my CPU its lagging sometimes hard.
When i map,town or something to Load i stuck 5-10 sec in Loading with 100% CPU.
when Loading Finished its still laggs for 10 sec then it worked.

Unplayable...

i7- 6700K / 1080 Nvidia / 32GB Ram

Anyone know to fix this hard CPU Usage + Lags?

Your PC sucks... Im not even joking either... Get a RX6750XT and a 5800X3D its cheap and would perform 10 times better.

The game will lag everytime you enter a new zone and move around for the first time. It's the shaders. Your second play-thought will be better.

Unfortunately your PC is not good enough to run this. Very low specs.

I have my fps capped in the nvidia drivers, doesn't help. It's not a problem with high frame rates but with shader compilation and probably some bugged loop that gets stuck.
Has nothing to do with the amount of frames and it doesn't happen on my laptop so I think it's a problem with chipset drivers or specific CPU models.

cpu oced to 4.6 + oced vega64, in helltides it drops to 90fps, open world is about 105-110, dungs 120+
I know it is early access and they will optimise eventually

The Intel Core i7-6700K processor was released on August 5, 2015. Its 6th gen. 13/14 are being replaced already.

The ram with that CPU is AT BEST 2133 ddr4, but more than likely 1600 ddr3.

the 1080 is almost 4 generations behind, released in may of 2016.

Its pretty good, yeah, for a calculator.

I would at least try a couple things before giving up.
1 - Increase the game process priority
2 - Switch between dx11, dx12 and vulcan
3 - Make sure is run on a SSD and there's a decent free space

If you upgrade get a Amd x3d cpu Either the 5800x3d, 7800x3d or 9800x3d. Also ssd only.

Your CPU and GPU are overdue for upgrades.. Also buy an SSD or two..

If you think a 9+ year old CPU is "pretty decent" when trying to play a brand new game, then the only stupid one here is you.

Put 4070 in, FG on/or amd with build in FG, gg old CPU that runs fine. I used x5650@4.4Ghz for 12 years.
For 1080p, 60Hz its good.
Buddy has 8700k @ 5.3Ghz and 2080ti still has high fps in new games at 2k.
Your statement is dumb since you can make old ♥♥♥♥ work. Maybe you cant but hey not everyone understands how hardware works.


But to get to the problem. Most likely shader related. I get also fps drops when entering new zones for the first time. Tho I'm still in the 100 fps range and after 2-10 sec it back to the fps cap. Did you watch the telemetry if this is the case? Are you using m2 drive?
You could also try to overclock to 4.5-4.7 Ghz and see if it help. But only with good cooling.

And ignore everyone suggest getting a 5800x3d. Its to expensive since its the last CPU for the socket, they are all sold and you will need to upgrade in the near future the whole thing anyway.

People with an 7800x3d or even 9800x3d report the same problem... meanwhile the 185h in my laptop doesn't have any problems.
So no, it's a game issue, not a CPU issue.
