Nothing like PoE1, and the community is already League level of Toxic
TL;DR-
This game obviously was not made for Path of Exile Casuals, and if you tend not to go past Mapping T15 maps, dont play this game. my first encounter with a trash mob one shot killed me.

Below are the things i have noticed in my 8 hours of initial game play.

Pros:
- TP being free is nice, but i wouldn't complain about scrolls
- Disenchanting vs selling is a good way to keep currency in the game, while keeping the Currency orbs for use.
- New classes are really cool, The Monk seemed slow at first, but after getting Tempest Flurry, it starts to actually feel like a monk.
- The enemy design is beautiful and creative.

Cons:
-Bosses are tumble fights and one shot kills like Dark Souls
- Normal combat, you need to make sure you are not fighting more than 3 enemies at a time, or they just drop you to zero in half a second, even after gearing up after every 4 levels and flasks don't heal fast enough to keep up. im level 18 and struggle with level 15 monster zone, and grinding up would take hours due to the XP Scaling.
- MANUAL STUN RECOVERY?! when i get stunned, i have to let go of my skill attack, and re press it?! that's gross guys.
- enemies can rag doll your character model around.
- you have to grind for an hour or so between zones to upgrade your gear so you feel strong enough to progress without dying every time you run into a pack of monsters larger than 5
- You don't gain base Stats as you level, meaning you cant even use the base skills as they come out. WHYYYY
- Flasks don't recharge fast enough anymore
- Dying now reset's boss instance


All in all, it feels like the PoE1 Devs, explained their game to Dark Souls Devs, and had them make the product. Sure, you polished the look, and made some cool new skills and classes, but it is as if you took your end game ladder community, and said "We only want these people to play this game." There is enough struggle in my real life, I dont want to struggle to complete a campaign. I want to turn off, and roll over a hundred mobs nice and quick. Could you not have taken PoE1 into account while balancing and designing combat at all? I simply wanted more PoE1 with a new graphics engine update, and shiny new skills and classes, and more story. I feel like the casuals are getting left behind, and the world is going to be filled with your "Git Gud" and "Skill Issue" try hards. Definitely finishing up the story, and heading back to PoE1.

Everyone on my friends list is playing witch/sorc. So, there's your answer. 15 people all playing witch/sorc. I feel like I should reinstall the game and try one of those now.

If you're playing melee, you cannot avoid all damage by spamming rolls, your build MUST include decent amount of damage mitigation, be it armor, shield, regen, lifeleech, evasion, or everything of the above.

Some of the better private school systems have tiered campuses so they can send the bulk of less intelligent children to a place where they can best be served while focusing on the quality children for careers. POE has done the same now. PoE 1 is not going anywhere and the short bus is always on time. How about leaving the AP class schedule in for those who want to be challenged in life and excel.

I'm not sure why people care if there's an easier difficulty for other players. It's not like they have to choose it.

Most of the "iz too hard!" people aren't even asking for difficulty options, they simply want the game to be EASIER RIGHT NOW.

That's due to twin stick style wasd and controller twin stick

Iv tested all three control scheme. Point and click definitely puts u at a disadvantage.

Each and every time I switched to either wasd or controller the experience as well as difficulty is just better. Same with other games like hades dead cells ect.

I don't have many options to do that in the 1st act getting to lvl 10. I understand things would get better, but I am kind of slogging through "un-fun" to see if it gets better. Draven was a pain for me. I had to roll around for a while to figure out his attack animations before I could gauge when I could attack.

I'm sorry, you missed the point. Some people can never get good. My advise is what I would tell a Kardashian at a MENSA meeting, just leave. It won't get any better.

Yea, I had to take the basic attack off the left mouse click because I kept canceling skills have it click to move and switching to "main attack". For sure seems like I should be using a controller now.

Sorry dude but calling a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ entry of an former great ARPG franchise and genre creator superior because PoE is to hard for ya is basically why D3 and D4 are terrible Diablo games in the first place. Casual does not mean it is so easy you barely die even while falling asleep. You even understand why so much modern games suck so hard theese days? Dark Souls for example is recognized as beeing a great franchise because it is not a walk in the park but rather a challenge like games were supposed to be in the past. The biggest franchises of gaming history have in common that they were challenging to begin with. There is no fun in games without challenge at all as they are repetetive and boring otherwise.

I really have to say that anyone finding the game to be to hard should stop playing arpgs all together the genre is not meant for them to begin with. And do not get me wrong I also hate it when some games force you in a specific way of playing it as well but thats not the case here. The issue is only that you are not fit for that kind of genre and you are most likely the reason why the genre went downhill so much in the past 10 years.

Honestly? You do.
Grabbing just one item with +HP/+HP regen/extra armor, etc - makes you a lot more tough.
Grabbing a shield (any shield) works wonders. Jesus-level wonders if you actually USE it, and not just roll with its passive bonuses.

So they've completely broken the playstyle along with the difficulty curve and pacing... is what I'm hearing.

yeah, I'm done. I'll try back when the game releases I think and see then. I'm really regretting supporting this company at this point.
