Even though Path of Exile 2 is only half as good as Path of Exile 1, yes, the hype was justified.

i think the hype is a little bit more then for a good poe 1 season, but i dont think its overhype. at last in my bubble no body cares about poe2 q...q

yeah, people have not even played the game once and act like it is the second coming of gaming jesus christus

here is what i personally do expect

hopefully: a supergood ARPG which does not require a PhD to be enjoyed like PoE1,
maybe even the best ARPG

realistically: a solid foundation to build upon to eventually fullfill peoples enormous expactations to become a great game in a couple of years

But most likely: you will see an absolute metric ton of people beeing disapointed because their hype was way, way, waaaay to big

expect to see a shtload of

"WASD sucks, back to click to move",
"i can oneshot all the bosses",
"there really is not that much endgame",
"my performance sucks",
"i cant login because the servers are on fire"

The big content creators have played it allready and there are even playthough videos on youtube. You can respec for gold now and the game has way more info about mechanics ingame than POE 1. It will be not that hard to figure everything out for new players.
