Did anyone buy the 480$ usd pack

its crazy that have a pack like this its 750$ here in Australia.

if anyone bought it what made you purchase the pack?

Never bought a 480 pack, but I've spent collectively around 600 on the game over the course of 10+ years.

I just like rewarding devs that I feel deserve it. They keep bringing me back every so often with free new content over the course of a decade, and I think that's laudable.

I hope they add it on steam, I dont want to spend $500 in one go, definitely not when I am not even sure yet how much I will like the game, but I would work towards it if I had the option, in smaller steps, for now I just bought the $100 pack which is the highest one on steam I think, that moving base just looked too good.

4. Its just money, can't take it with me

Waiting on a couple friends to claim keys if they don't will give them away.

GGG is one of the most ethical game companies, so spending on them is better than most other entertainment

I do find it a bit funny how angry people got over Riot selling a $500 Ahri skin with a revenue share back to Faker, and GGG sells a $480 pack every year and no one really cares.

And both companies are 100% owned by Tencent.

Yes and the shipping is very expensive over 200+ USD to the US. People that bought the 480 USD package opt out of the physical goods and take the points instead.

LoL target audience is young children who struggle to convince parents to spend $500 on a skin.
PoE is rated mature (17+) and mostly played by adults with disposable income.

Thats my best guess. Also you get a lot more than just a skin with the $480 pack.

yeah the fact that you are allowed to upgrade your version all the way up to 480 $ means even if you just want more points for skins, mounts, animations, furniture for hideout et.c. you will keep buying like 500-1000 more points like once a month. And you will eventually probably reach the 480$ before PoE 2 gets the full release.
