I just make this cuz i searched free to play found this liked the first one but this one is bnot free yet ... i understand but why are they aloowed to keep the tag and fool people ? just a generall question no hate im gonna wait and play it later :)

How to join Early Access?
Purchasing one of new Early Access Supporter Packs with a key grants you access.

As we have also announced earlier, if you've purchased a top-tier supporter pack in the past or have spent $480 USD or more in lifetime purchases in Path of Exile on a single platform, you'll automatically have access to Path of Exile 2. In this case you'll receive an email (if we have one for you) and PM on the website that lets you know that your account has had access granted.

Its free when its coming out like 6 to 12 months from now

It's free to play at launch. there is no mystery. early access almost always requires a fee. and it's free to those who also spent enough in POE 1 as well.

I'm more pissed how they managed to fool people into believing they're some important part of the story and they achieve great stuff, while there're hundreds of thousands of other players achieving the same at the same time!

The tags are largely user defined.

But I think Valve already slapped their wrist. Game listing in store results shows the base supporter price, not that it’s a free game anymore like it did as recently as yesterday.

My guess? Valve made them change it cos essentially it’s not a f2p until the EA is over.

It's free to play. But you gotta pay to test it.

They needed to have an open beta and weren't sure how to chose who could be in it. Don't think they were ready for the hype.

Personally I've played enough POE1 i owed them at least 30 bucks for that game.

it'll be free to play once it actually releases, but if you want to "beta test it" basically, and play earlier than everyone else, that's how they're going to earn a bit of money, which imo, they deserve to.

Fool them into what? Looking at the page and seeing that early access costs money?

It's not like you're downloading the game, making an account, then starting it up and getting hit by a paywall. That would be legitimately tricking people.

I do think they should remove that tag on steam until after early access, though, to avoid confusion.

What are you even on about? They've literally said the start of EA is only about half the content of the release and we're missing half the classes, half the campaign, a load of weapon types and skills, and 24 ascendancies. It's far from done.
