How does coop work in game?
You can interact with people on chat and towns, I don't like that but this is enough to be called MMO. I would like more "Frame-Like" which THE GAMEPLAY is only a coop up to 8, but the chat is global.
Up to six players arguing on drops.
It's not. People just don't understand what game genre means. They don't understand that multiplayer and massively multiplayer are 2 different things. They think that just because it's online it's an mmo. That like saying a fighting game is an RTS because you have 2 units killing each other...
A massively multiplayer game needs maps with big max player size (like at least 50+) that people can join at anytime without grouping. A full privately instanced game can't be an mmo, more so if you can only have 6 players in an instance. And no, having a global chat and meeting people in town doesn't qualify.
which is the difference between an mmo and a multiplayer game. For a game to be an mmo, you need all off the maps off the main world to act like a hub. Not just towns. A game with private instances linked to the player initiating the instance can't be an mmo.
Otherwise LoL, Dota and counterstrike can be classified as mmo just because there are a lot of people playing at the same time in closed instances.
It fulfills exactly that.
Instances are 6 players and are destroyed after the last player leaves. It's not an mmo. Just like diablo 2 is not an mmo.
Miss ya my fellow members of Rockin’ Norns…maybe one day we’ll meet up again.
