Path of Exile 2

Question's about Leagues
So from what I can tell, its like seasons on Diablo 3/4? New mechanics and new special items?

If I complete a league and my character gets sent to the standard "Normal" realm when the league ends, can I transfer those new items/equipment to different characters or are they locked?

What I mean is: If I have a main guy on the standard realm, can I transfer all the fancy league stuff to that main character after my alt finishes a league?

Total noob questions >.<

because a new league with new items and content has started which you want to play on instead.

Standard league is really just a resting place for your league characters. Why play standard when you can play league with new stuff and mechanics?
Characters share stash tab.
All your characters in standard league will share the same stash tabs.
All your characters in current league will share the same stash.

The only way to share between the two is to send a character from current league down to standard.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

yes you, just as diablo, you can pass the stuff to a 2nd or 3th toon ON standard,
standard will also be a server you can play on if you dont like the seasonel stuff, but new skills and new items will be season first. then if we are lucky 1-3 season later we might get that season mechanic, if it went core, as we call it. aka added to baseline gameplayloop.
some unique items get put in drop pool or into boss loot table to fit the rarity or power of said item, i have played some d3/d4 and not sure how they do there season legendarys when a new season start tho

I gotchya. Thanks guys :D

Hey, I seen you get free cosmetics by completing challenges in leagues. How insanely hard are these challenges and are they locked by difficulty?

Like, If I go Standard League, will I only get 20/40 challenges instead of 40/40 in Hard Core?

Seriously though, the more im hearing the happier I am. I was into PoE when it first came out, tried to get back into it about a year ago but got overwhelmed when I found out that little, tiny, silly side-mini game with the mine shafts was actually an entire 400+ hour, complete experience all on its own. An entire game within a game... Gameception, if you will.

idk why that specifically made me back away but it had something to do with feeling too out of touch. Like, if I needed to learn how to program in C++ just to experience part of the game.

Standard league is really just a resting place for your league characters. Why play standard when you can play league with new stuff and mechanics?

I mean, there are legitimate reasons to play standard. They typically have access to legacy items, that don't always have the changes retroactively applied to them from balance patches unless you reroll the item to update the stats. This could be positive or negative, sometimes items get buffed and they're objectively better, sometimes they get nerfed, and are objectively worse. This happened to numerous items in PoE 1 over the years. It stands to reason they'd probably end up doing the same here.

A downside to playing standard is the eventual massive inflation, and price spikes you'll have to deal with when leagues end. If you don't play it often, you won't build currency other than what you have at the end of the league.

I use my standard league for testing things in a play environment. Come up with a build, throw some gear on an actual already leveled character, and see how it plays, rather than just relying on PoB.

It's also really fun to just blast on mirror tier characters if you get to that level.

Challenges are league only content, Standard "League" isn't an actual league, and doesn't receive Challenges. It's more of a graveyard. You will only have the opportunity to progress challenges in the active league.

the silly mine shaft, has a decent core comunity and CC's that more or less only play that, as its a import game part for ppl wgo wants to craft powerfull items, whit fossils and resonator
i do regret 1 time not buying a pack in poe, and that was when they added a mtx to the cart, that changes it into a walking bear whit light source on it.
again i love the game have over 4k hours 3.7k just on steam, and sadly cant say how many when played via there own laucher. i got a key through life time donations as they called it.
again its a silly mtx i regret i didt get :P
as i do love delve

They've heavily leaned into being able to play whatever flavor of content you enjoy most. You can buff the content you enjoy and in PoE1 could even block the ones you disliked to improve (or guarantee) the chance the stuff you like appears.

It's a lot to take in before really figuring out which stuff you like most but the devs have (usually) made their learning curves rewarding.
Outch >.< I didnt know you could just block stuff. I felt compelled to just jump head first into everything all at once so I was hunting animals, jumping down mine shafts etc etc all at the same time and my brain melted haha

Im really, really looking forward to the roguelite mode they showed off in that video. Gauntlet Trial's?
Yes, leagues in Path of Exile are similar to Diablo’s seasons, with new mechanics, challenges, and sometimes exclusive items. When the league ends, your character moves to the Standard realm, but any items or progress made during the league are transferable to other characters in the Standard realm. However, league-specific items (like uniques tied to the league's mechanics) may be harder to acquire after the league ends, but you can still trade or use them with your main character. Just keep in mind, once the league ends, the new mechanics are no longer active.

They don't have leagues yet. Because, the game hasn't even come out yet.

That's... the post and the answer.
