Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

Will they fix the game at all
Path of exile sucks because you get to the end game and then can't play any of the content because you didn't follow the exact steps someone wrote up in a build guide and all the tier 1 maps just kill you over and over again. Will this be fixed in path of exile 2.

I don't think a game can fix your skill issues. Sorry to tell you.

Re-specs for gold kind of addresses this, no?

No, i think you will be actually punished even more for not knowing how to build or not looking up a build. Even in campaign, when you die you go back to checkpoints and if you were at the boss, they regain all their health again.

Good luck.

They will make it much easier to change builds later on it seems
Can respec with gold
Easier to use many support gems and so on

A welcome change imo
I'm sure some would prefer it to be more "hardcore" like in POE1

Just always calling it "skill issue" is a bit lame. There is a reason why a lot of people started to dislike Poe1 over time. It's not holy guys. ;p

Its like in all your 500 hrs of Diablo 4 you didint get 100+ uniques that were the same freaking thing.
Hahahahahaha!

you schilling hard for d4. Maybe you should go play that some instead of padding your 3 hrs in PoE1

Hopefully they add more tooltips on how much real ehp you have and how much real damage you do, at least. And some tooltips about mechanics.

Poe 1 end game sucks because every league comes with it's rng and arbitrary buffs for end game npcs. Most of the time you run into rares (especially possessed ones) tougher than any end game boss.

I think thats just a skill issue, my first build in poe with literally no outside help or previous experience in ARPGs got me to tier 12 maps before I gave up and went and followed a guide lol, and now after having played the game for around 1000 hours I have since gone back to that build and pushed it to kill some end game bosses. I think a lot of people over rely on build guides and stuff, if you have like even the smallest amount of critical thinking and the will to dive into the wiki every now and then you can usually figure stuff out on your own. Not saying a new player will be able to easily hit uber bosses and clear all content on their own easily but it can be done.

You do understand that the game being infinitely flexible is the point... Not every single build is going to work, and most of the build guides are centered around a deep understanding of the mechanics of the game. If you're not willing to learn these mechanics and interactions and only want to play pre-built ideas with no adjustments that's on you.

If you're willing to learn what makes builds work, and ways to circumvent problems you'll do much better in this series. Rushing the campaign is fine, but you'll run into the death a million ways in t1 maps because you don't have high enough life/res/defenses.

Grind the content you can manage until you can afford to get better gear. If you need to level as one build and transition to another because it's expensive or has very certain passive requirements then do so. Some end game builds are designed to be built into AFTER you gain the resources to do so.

Check out league starters if you find yourself getting smashed a lot right out of the campaign... They're designed for the leveling AND early endgame progression.

Requiring a player to learn the mechanics is not a problem with the game. If you remain wilfully ignorant of how the game works, you'll likely create an unworkable build, if you do that you'll likely be incapable of progressing endgame content. It's called "consequences".

I'd rather spend a month perfecting my own build than follow someones guide like a puppet.

You don't need to follow anything close to a guide to get past tier 1 maps.
