How am i supposed to beat Anubis?

Tiny arena, small gaps in the flaming walls, half a screen wide meteors and skull bombardments and that's fine.

What's not fine is the boss removing the gaps entirely and overlapping the walls, how am i supposed to beat that cos my damage is nowhere near enough to burst the boss dead before that happens?

I guess i need to, somehow, not only dodge absolutely everything while looking at the sides of the screen to see where the gaps are before the walls overlap to cover the slightly less deadly spots elsewhere?

Or is this some sort of dps check and i'm supposed to die if i can't kill the boss before the mega walls come?

Meh, got through it by respec pumping my life up high enough that no longer got oneshot by all the garbage flying at me which is hardly a ringing endorsement for a well designed boss fight.

You can always overlevel or gather some early runewords/satanics before going to a boss where you feel like your damage is not enough. Also the boss does have some pretty simple mechanics you can master quite fast overtime attempting him. The wall of lightning does overlap but does not come out at the same time, so you can easily jump to the located gap where you need to be. Easiest as you said yourself is getting enough vitality to where you dont get one shot, that way you can get some pots and make sure your life is always enough to tank some damage.

Be happy you made it to Anubis ^^. I ran down the first Act and Guarg didn't even took damage from my attacks because I only got crap gear and I have to farm for stuff beating him. Playing an attack char like I did with bad equipment is terrible. I had better luck starting Act 3 and everything evolved into a slaughter fest.

In S5 you realy need to have half decent stuff and levels to get things done.
