Redneck was one of the best classes in the game, now its weak and has very limited choices. Even Necro, as you pointed out, is brokwn and in one more way than mentioned: its skill tree wont always let you select a skill to level up, even if you meet the level requirments and have points allocated on the skill above. Lame.
That and the enemies seem way way too strong now. And when you get an item or potion you stand still for long enough to be killed by swarms of OP mobs. Its just not fun like it was at first. SOrry man. Maybe they will get back to favoring the players and not favoring the NPC ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ some day. Until then, i cant play this.
They did this to force players to play ONLINE suposedly because you get more XP on multiplayer... bullocks! They broke this game, I already uninstalled it and I won't plan on playing it again EVER. Thank God I only paid .99 cents. This is what happens when rookie devs truned into a money hunger bunch of sunuvas... The game was fun and all but they really rest in their laurels, filling them pockets.
Edit: Oh and let's not talk about how freaking awful going into a dungeon is now, that annoying "lamp" effect... the area where you fight dungeon bosses got reduced by too much, you can barely move and dodge... way to messed with a fun game.
I've seen some whiney ♥♥♥♥ in my day, but this takes the cake.
You demand the world for 99 cents...get real dude.
It's day ONE of the new DLC. Of course there are going to be some bugs--they already fixed an issue with the Rednecks, I'm sure the rest of the classes are next. I can't believe some of you.
I disagree that the devs are simply 'resting on their laurels'. They put out what, 4-5 patches today to fix the problems players are/were reporting? I'd hardly say they're just lazing around rolling in the
I'm with this dude.
The game was too easy. I did two Single runs with my Pirate, and I finished the game in both, in Normal and Nightmare.
I just think they should keep Normal mode "easier" because that's where you start with low level classes (level one xD), and start powering up the others. I barely saw any difference in Mob power (aside from bosses, Damien mainly) form Normal to Nightmare, before the DLC arrived.
Also, "The devs only care about money", seriously? The game is at 1,75$ if I'm right with a 75% sale right now, and the Collector's Edition is at 4,50$ or something like that, and the DLC-Only will be even cheaper.
Now I know the DLC _just_ dropped and there are bound to be problems, but the whole way the game is played has been changed. You can call it balancing if you like, but the fact is now I need to just circle a boss for five minutes, chipping away at his health. No new mechanics or difficulty, just "You're weaker, he is stronger, try not to die". It's a real bummer.
I'm taking a step back from the game for a few days, see if this all gets sorted.
Challenge is good but unfair frustrating impossible sh!t is not!
The whole thing started to become like Blizzard and Diablo2 where so much balancing made single player impossible or at least frustrating. Devs, don't do that! Ppl are playing for fun not for seeing their char dies 3 times in 10 minutes (as me now).
( sox for double post)
I don't want a multiplayer game, I want a good hack and slash game that is possible to play.
Before the DLC came out I placed my 4 turrets, and killed Anubis in like 10 seconds. Now I die after just taking away 10% of his life. Big difference...
Still love this game, but it's kinda frustrating to never even reach Act 5, even with all the relics and 10k health. They should try to change it back again, in my opinion. If I wanted a harder challenge, I could have done Nightmare, Hell, Hardcore, and now even Insanity. So, that's challenging enough.
Pirate + dump everything into Cannonball skill and attack speed + Spend all money on temp STR = Unstoppable Murder Machine from my experience before the DLC/Patch. Might be a reason why.
Also, lets not forget they have multiplayer now. Things need to be balanced for however many players can be in one map. Hopefully they learn to scale things based on how many players there are.
