jar of leeches is incredibly strong, and you can pop the leeches with crematum for some great damage

he has some useless skills though. im not impressed with plague of rats at all and miasma's incredibly tiny AOE and low proc chance is lackluster too.

he also has a completely useless skill that buffs his plague damage by (get this) a whopping 0.10% for every point invested in it, so this skill is a slap in the face.

ideally i'd like to make a plague build but unless this skill gets buffed MASSIVELY, a plague build is pointless. 100 points for a 10% plague damage increase is just lol. the plague damage by itself isn't even good.

he's strong but he's not meta-tier or anything. fun to play but he needs some fixing.

I'm having fun with em, isn't super strong with small mob groups, the character seems to excel in wh where you can get large groups to proc you're plague. Basically plague is stronger the more mobs you can get it to proc onto at once.

This is why despite Spazz Maticus saying the plague of rats is dissapointing doesnt make sense to me. Through armor rolls you can get a stat that makes the skill send 10 instead of 5 rats. (Keep in mind each rat has a 20% chance to plague) meaning that you get a large group of enemies, send the rats into it, then boom everything gets plague and procs off the surrounding plague killing everything.

TL;DR - Class can be strong in large mobs, low single target dmg. Focus on spreading plague in groups, dont worry too much on single skill dmg, plague in large groups is where the plague doctor excels.

its disappointing because it does horrible damage, it's unreliable, and plague effectiveness seems to scale with initial damage done

more reason i use leeches, they tick constantly, do a lot more damage quicker, and you're guaranteed to proc the plague with them unless the enemy dies from the leeches far too quickly and the plague is stronger from leeches than rats considering the higher damage.

meanwhile with rats you need a crutch for it to even be remotely useful, it's still unreliable even with the armor stat, and even then leech outperforms it.
