A lot of games from indy devs aren't compatible with the new processors yet. It's a waiting game until certain games get optimized for the new M1s.

Was able to run the game using crossover for mac. Haven't been able to run it without an error on m1 mac. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TdCV7fn2CA

I would like it to run natively. Im not going to buy crossover to run a game. With macs now having M1 chips Devs will need to make games compatible or they will lose Mac customers

Mac wasn't designed with gaming in mind to begin with, and they've NEVER been focused on that. It's main design point was for rendering, thus why moviess/shows/design almost ALWAYS have MACs.

Either wait, or don't use a MAC for gaming. It still may be a several months or even longer until gaming is at a stable point for most games on Mac with the new M1's.

That's a good thing. Catering to Xquartz and now M1 is two special snowflake things for 1 system. Better to just lose those people, they can always run an OS that doesn't purposefully make it harder for devs, like any linux distro or windows.

Has to be one of the stupidest replies I have ever seen.

Agreed, don't waste a bunch of dev time on this unless it reaches enough people. It's a risk you take whenever you buy esoteric or cutting edge hardware.

A MAC? Seriously?? Even Linux is more compatible with games (and far better than MAC). WHAT ARE DOING?!
MesseV Jul 6, 2021 @ 9:51pm
I believe Apple has made it quite a chore to to port games over to the MAC (or make them compatible). That is why most indie-game developers have outright dropped that platform and will never make their games compatible with it.
Not saying this is the case for HeroSiege, but I do know that Starsector did it, for example.
