Chronicon has a bit more positive reviews, but it's still in Early Access and as I've heard devs have a bit of problems with moving it on new engine version. So I'm mostly sure that it won't be released before 2019.
At the same time this game will probably have good discounts at "black friday" and holiday weekends...
So if you'd ask my opinion, then buy Hero siege now and play it and just buy Chronicon later with a good discount.
But think for yourself. If you want to play now, then buy HS and play it. I'm sure that you'll complete it (and probably become a little bored from it) before the time when Chronicon will be released.
Or you can try Chronicon if you're not afraid about playing not completed game which are still in EA.
P.S. but also don't always trust reviews - I've recently played Enter the Gungeon which have a VERY positive feedback from players and just found it mediocre and boring like hell. And I really don't understand why people praise it when it have terrible and broken game mechanics... But somehow people are still loving it no matter what ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
