Can companions do more?

i like the Companions, but they just pick up gold and gems?

can't they be updated to be more helpful?
98% of the it seems to fast to get the stuff yourslfe, exspshly if the Companionplays it "i can't more" games.



also 2 low bugs.
the Companion can get stak on corners.
and if the Companion finds like gold in a wall (where you can't get it yourself) the Companion runs in place, doing nothing at all.... till it warps to you for being to far away from you.

I have also a problem with the companions, that when i restart the game, that they are gone.
Then i have to go back to the shop and choose the companion and his name again.

And when i leave the game and start it later again, the same problem appears again. Thats quiet annoying.

i just started the game, and the companion i like (the dog) just i use. i then started playing and he was there. i then closed the game and started it and played without going to the shop and the dog showed up. named him Hunter and tryed the close-open-play without go to shop thing again, but the dog companion showed up with his name.

i can't find the bug you talk of. can you give same more info pls?

Also, if you're patient, you will walk all over the map, instead of just killing the amount needed to get to the boss, and not getting the gold. It's your fault for not picking up gold, and exploring.

A simple fix is to try and get the Magnet relic, which lets you pick it up further away, but i haven't bought companions, so I don't know if its further than they can.

i know about the Magnet relic, but both getting it and staying alive, both easyer said then done, as i'm playing on hardness level 4, so i die a lot. as for the other half, (so I don't know if companions go further than the Magnet relic can) yes they can, and no they can't.
yes) the companions go to close by gold and gets it, but if more gold is in it's finding range, it'll run off to get that to, and may go as far as to run right off the screen.
no) the companions range is shorter then that of the Magnet relic.

i just think the companions can be more helpful. it's more like just a pet that runs after you, and from time to time, just acts so stupid.

As i said; Every i time i started the game new, my companions are away. Then i have to go to the shop, choose a companion, give him a new name, and then he finally appears in the game.

But when i closed and start the game new, my companion is again away, and he wont show up until i choose him again in the shop. This happens every time, with every companion, when i restart, and as i said, its very annoying for me :(

i wish i could say i can help you, but sadly, i'd be lieing to you. i have not gotten that bug myself. the only thing i can sagist is maybe reinstalling the game. if you worry about that taking your work in the game, save files are in Documents, in the folder that has the game's name. i can't think of anything else for a fix and don't know what is behind it, so if that failes, i'm sorry, but i can do no more to help. hope it works.

i was off the game for over a month, but once started, Hunter was with me, named and the one i last had. hope it is fixed for you soon, what ever the bug is.
