It seems to be a generalized issue. Sometimes multiple bullets/arrows are on top of each other from pilled up enemies and are enough to insta-kill. (which would be fixed by having a small invincibility window after a hit)
It's not an issue of "I didn't see my life go down", I lifesteal about 1/6 of my health pet hit and I shoot really fast with both characters. (One 60ish, new one 25ish)
I do manage my equipement too, it's not a matter of not knowing how the game works.
Melee toons, minus Pally, are in a bit of a poop schute right now because of it.
I know damn well it's frustrating to watch it happen, as while leveling, it happens more often that it should, but then I jsut gave up on melee toons and did pally and ranged because of it.
I'm really trying to get back into this game, but ever since the major changes a couple years back, it's been tough for this game to hold my interest. The game is good. Used to be ridiculously fun. Now, you're just as likely to die by dots at level 150 in amazing gear as you are when you're level 1 and naked. Reduction doesn't seem to do anything at all even if that's the only stat you put into it. Same goes for every stat really. The bonus you get from applying stats just isn't enough to justify putting stats in multiple things for that "perfect build."
Currently, I'm trying to progress through normal modes but guess what's stopping me? Grim Reaper. I know the mechanics well, but one teeny tiny mistake costs my shaman it's life. I've tried adding reduction, but again, doesn't matter. Everything one shots no matter the build, no matter the gear.
It's just not fun anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love challenges. But I've been sitting here for the better part of 3 hours literally fighting Grim Reaper over and over again. I just want to beat the damn thing so I can actually PROGRESS with my character. But it doesn't really look like that's going to happen.
you've barely even seen the game.
when you get 150 - that's a different story. and then you start wormholing.
once you're there - any (literally) minion can slay you.
avoid getting damage. run in circles. git gud.
everyone else maybe should consider a bit slower game (c) egoraptor
you have to find own workarounds for the problem like using ankh relic and restart session after first death. it is the best way to protect against losing all relics
