Gabriel WH boss

Hi,
I just got back in the game after a 2 months break, and with the new WH lvl design I faced a problem.
The WH boss Gabriel doesn't spawn the 4 pillars before casting his "death ray" and one shots me everytime as I don't have anything to hide.
Has this boss been changed or is it a bug?

Often times I only get one Ice pillar to hide behind. Sometimes if I kill him too quickly he'll death ray posthumously with no pillar up.... always a real treat to die righ before you can pick up your loot....

I've only ever got one pillar with this guy. Kills me every single time.

tbh Gabriel is one of the easiest WH bosses. Wondering about posthumous kill. On final hit he never cast his death ray towards me, even if he entered the cast animation.

Only possible death might be, he already casted his death ray and died after the cast. So yes, the death ray is up for its duartion and kill you when you run into the ray.

P.S. 2 Patches ago the Pillars were reduced from 4 to 1 for a bit more challenge.
P.P.S. You get a warning from him ( "I will banish you...") with enough time to hide behind the pillar. His deathray always goes towards you, so just hide behind the pillar in a straight line to Gabriel.

bloody hell i wish they would stop upping the difficulty, just put in a hard difficulty for all the mutant ninja freaks who play this game blindfolded.

Gabriel is easy. Just pay attention. He's not harder than the others, that's the others which are too easy.
When he says "I will banish you from existence", look for the pillar and hide behind.

That adds a little challenge, and that's good for a game where you just steamroll everything.
