Difficulty Curve? Also how many chapters?

So through the achievements it seems like there are 6 chapters...aren't there supposed to be 8?


Also, is it me or does the difficulty curve in this game seem WAY off. I played through nightmare for the first 4 chapters, with relatively no issue. Got to chapter 5 and now EVERY fight even if im a couple levels highers seems unbearably difficult.

6 chapters in alpha, beta and a final chapter at release they put the 7 and 8 chapters together

I've only just started and finished chapter 1, I put it on nightmare, but the game does feel incredibly easy. I waited for a long time for this one to finish EA and was so excited to be a nightmare mode. I was quite surprised to see that my characters were able to overcome pretty much anything they encounter without having to think about what moves I'm using. I hope it gets harder.

The easy solution is to just balance it around crafted weapons, especially on nightmare, and tell people that say nightmare is too hard "lol it's nightmare, if you don't want hard, don't chooose it" =/

like i said, I didn't play the game in early access, and only just got it, but I feel that if the game can be fairly easily overcome without making use of character optimizations or crafting systems, these systems lose their appeal.

ok sweet, that is reassuring, i might hold off until the next major update and restart. Thanks. (My spare time is rather limited so I'm not sure play testing is something I want to invest in, hopefully that doesn't make me sound like a horrible human being)
