What's going on with the recent reviews?

I did some googling and apparently the last time it went on a big sale they game also got review bombed like this. Seems kinda strange that it happens like that.

Okay so after playing the game for a bit I would have to go against recent reviews and say this game is fun but then again i've always been a fan of FF games and this kinda has the feel of one. One thing I would say is there's not enough information out to really let you know what to do.

For now the only thing that really bother me was I just beat the corrupted Croctas in crelk forest, one of the side objectives for the fight was 3 stars and the reward was a staff but it didn't give me any info on how to obtain it. Does anyone else know?

Steam should remove reviews and ban people who just buy to do that stuff.

I was wondering the same, I started the game and so far it´s really good. The quality is pretty much on par with Square´s AA titles like Star Ocean.

I have owned the game for quite some time. If your tell me its on sale someplace else, I only play steam and blizzard

I thought you could only post public reviews if you bought through Steam.

Humble Choice gives you Steam keys (for the most part), so you're reviewing a Steam copy. You don't need to buy a game through Steam, you can buy a key and activate it. There's plenty of legit marketplaces out there. (Humble Bundle, Greenman Gaming, Fanatical, etc)

While some of the reviews are a bit shallow at least a hand full of them are pretty fair especially considering the story. While graphics wise the game is very pretty the absolute weakest part of it is the poorly written story with a lot of disconnectedness, bad pacing, and questionable dialogue to say the least. The story started with a lot of potential but it very quickly fell apart and lost its way. The criticism of the crafting is also very fair as it invalidates any weapons you pickup as crafted weapons are plain better and the system itself doesnt feel very fleshed out. I dont remember if you can craft anything else as there was never any reason to engage with the system if there was other things to craft.


I think i gave it a thumbs up but lets not pretend when someone gives some fair criticism it isnt valid just because you dont agree with it. The game isnt terrible, and if you can look past its major flaws it can be a fun time but that simply wont be the case for everyone.

No one's buying this game just to give it a negative review.
