Crystal Blade and Basalt Blade

Would anyone know where to find them? They said that the Basalt Blade would be in a chest near the bridge to Jagholm and the only chest that is there I already got it and it wasn't her, the Crystal Blade would be in the arena event, I activated the event doing in that quest of the purple crystal, the soldiers appeared, I killed them and I didn't get it as a reward, but 500 h and an item. Could someone give me a light?

Yep, I'm doing these now, Basalt Blade was in fact in the chest!
All my chests reset in the area after a patch, so maybe try opening them again. I am however on the 'Trunk' version of the game, heads up.

The chest is the first one next to the entrance bridge, meaning you have to cross two bridges from the Jagholm Exit teleport save point to find it, it's next to the first Flower that talked.

The arena quests are random, meaning I'll have to camp there and do them until it pops.

Alright, i did the one you are talking about same, only 500 H and some junk.

There's a lot of them, it may be another random quest, I will hangout around the arenas until more pop and see if it's not from another.

Aaaannnndd I think i know which it's from, there's a pair of kids who do random chest searches, and they sometimes offer to do it with 5 chests but you can't know where they place them, and it resets if you accidentally leave the area (I did, and lost all of them), I think that's it.

That was not it either, I found all 5 chests barely in time but it was only crafting loot, blegh..

It was just a regular old chest you have to scour the arena itself, where the soldiers give you that quest, HAH. That chest gives the Crystal Blade.

Does anyone have more specific directions towards the chest with this Basalt Blade. I have been looking in the area below Jagholm with the first flower but with no success. The only chest I found there is just north of the penitent quest but it contained no blueprint

It's planted directly next to the left of the first bridge.

That did now work for me. I see no chest around the bridge to Jagholm. Also no chest around the bridge to the swamp. I see a chest near the (restored) bridge to Herelsor, on the Herelsor side, but it did not contain the Basalt Blade blueprint.

If it bugs out, switch to the 'Trunk' version, that reset a bunch of chests for me, too. Also, the Trunk version has better crystal crafting and sprinting.

Thanks for the images. Unfortunately the chest just isn't there in my game. And since I am using the GOG version using a Trunk version of the game also isn't an option. Hopefully this will be fixed in a future patch

Ahh, I didn't know they had no access to it. Dang. This version has had a lot of patches, it adds 5.6+ GB's of data. I switch between them a bit, but Trunk is where it's at right now.

I might have another issue with the Crystal Blade. I have reached the arena and done an arena quest. I got the 500 Heyr + junk reward. There is a chest in the arena, but it was already open when I first arrived there. Is this another bug or will this chest only be filled after you do a specific arena quest?

Hello, it's fixed in the next patch coming very soon, the chest will be closed again.

The latest patch (on GOG) did indeed fix this for me. I now have the Basalt Blade and Crystal Blade blueprints
