Report a translation problem
The first part of the game is really linear but once you finished it you will have to go through some fights and you'll finally reach the open world. It just takes some times :)
Edit: So does that mean you'll be able to go anywhere once it opens up, or do areas open up through story progression?
Areas open up through story progression but the areas are all quite big with each having activities to do (a few sqkm each)
The closest would be Xenoblade Chronicles X because all the areas are on a big map like EOE.
