Hello Edge of Eternity's community!

The team really wants to thank you for your support and your patience for the Edge of Eternity project.
As you know from the Kickstarter, your opinions and feedback have been very important to us.
Today, we need your help. We would like to know what you would like to find in Edge of Eternity. What are your suggestions and feedbacks?

Please also tell us about the bugs you may find in the game so we can work on resolving it to the best of our abilities, but keep in mind that we are just a little team and we have to make choices about the development.

On the plus side, what did you like about Edge of Eternity? What did you spend hours on? We would love to hear your feedback and thoughts.

Please change combat camera. Make it more stable and 45 or higher degree.
Instead of fixed camera. I would rather have reference point which I can change any time I want. I experienced weird things when my characters pushed to mountain camera went to below ground seeing sea :)
Same with free mode. Camera is too low. It makes my head dizzy.
Everything else is good so far. I reached Inn did the quest. Almost 2 hours.
Selene was really bad at the beginning but after getting items and crystal she is really good.

I posted this a bit earlier in discord, so I'm copying it here. I'm only a few hours in.

I like the game so far. art style is fantastic and it reminds me a lot of my first run through xenoblade games. overall enjoyable! here's some of what I've noticed so far:

- the tutorial tips in the top left could use a bit more padding so they don't go to the edge https://i.imgur.com/JrjEcTV.jpg
- is it possible to turn them off, or not repeat them? I've seen the same interruption/move tutorials in almost every battle. same with every time I get a crystal from a chest.
- borderless is not truly borderless, it seems. the game minimizes every time I choose a different program. I have 3 monitors, so it's kinda annoying that it does this. I tested this by swapping to windowed (to make sure it worked), then changing back to borderless
- I have no idea how to use a controller, the game doesn't seem to be recognizing it
- a confirmation before going to main menu (from game) would be great, I did that on accident
- either show me who has something equipped or don't show the item at all in my inventory, this is confusing me because I have no idea what my allocations are atm without checking the individual screens and that's super time consuming
- I just noticed that enemies don't attack while in menu, but they get bloodthirsty as soon as you leave it. that is cool, but maybe pausing the game while in menu is a better choice (unless there's a reason for this)
- the sound options only appear in game, not in the main menu. I spent a good few minutes trying to lower the sound in the main menu but I couldn't.

Im getting constant crashing...Specs - Ryzen 1700 3.7ghz, 16 gb 3200 mhz ddr4 ram, gtx 1080ti.
Can play for 5 to 25 mins then crash.

Please improve controller support , Character movement using the controller does not work. The Character faces when they speak sometimes appears deformed (Like their pushing out a dodgy fart) Lol. And some clipping on the clothes. But it's early and im sure thing will get better as it developes, except the controller please fix that first. Cheers.

- Retry Battle Option. Depending on the outcome of a battle it can be SUPER frustrating to have to die on purpose to retry the battle if things come out horrible for you. In a battle system like this a retry option is needed.

- Luminousity sounded like an actual ingame feature to me but i found out it's literally Brightness. Maybe you want to change that to not confuse people.

- On 1080p the Font especially when getting Crystals is so small it's hard to read even when close to the Desktop(bearbeitet)


- Dialogue after the first Boss (Don't wanne spoil) has no Subtitles for some Reason

- Display Options don't apply. Staying on FullScreen even tho Borderless was selected and X was pressed like 20 Times. Not sure if the normal Graphical Settings apply either due to that

- Add Confirmations to stuff like "Back to Main Menu" if you press it accidently and haven't saved for a while you loose alot of Progress possibly.

- Changing Selene to Leader and leaving the Menu reverts Daryon to Leader again making it impossible to swap them. (Can you control Selene when selected as Leader ?)

- It shouldn't be needed to tell the player 5 Times how to equip a crystal when they are 1 hour in. Players are smart enough to see "oh new crystal. let's go to the menu"

- Add a Tutorial for Environmental Items. Beating the Forest boss is close to impossible without using it making it totally frustrating for players.

- The 2 Blue Shaded Crystal Colours are too close to each other and named badly so it's hard to realize which one is what. Change one of the Blue Shades to another colour possibly.

- I can't reuse crystals from other weapons of the same character. this makes weapon swapping _extremely_ annoying. I should be able to reuse gems that are allocated to the current character on a different weapon. if I remove one and it breaks a line on another one, that's my choice. but having to remove all the gems before I can reallocate them to another weapon is frustrating.
- I can't change weapons from the crystal screen. this would be really nice.
- I hope later there is a way to unlock multiple weapon paths.
- gems should not bind to a specific character. ideally, you just change the attack type per character. so if I have a fire strike gem, it should translate to fire magic for selene. this would make gems not restricted to one character, which can be frustrating if you need one for one, but keep getting them for another.
- dynamic events don't seem to go away. in my experience with games with dynamic events, they leave after a period of time. especially if I'm 400m away, it just seems forced. maybe they should show up closer (100m) and go away after a period of time.
- some corrupted wolves near the caravan event cast soul suck on themselves twice and killed themselves (it said they were targetting selene, though)
- nothing seems to be worth money. not even gems. I found a weapon that cost 2400, but with all the gathering I did, I wasn't even able to sell anything for money. super frustrating, especially because the dude left after, so even if I come back with the extra money I can't buy it.
- https://i.imgur.com/lHeaKm7.jpg - if this means the skill is permanently removed from the gem, I don't ever want to allocate to a purple slot. from what I've seen so far, some of the purple gems are pretty good, but this effect is a huge turnoff if it has permanent consequences. and if it doesn't, that needs to be made clear.
- nodes should either disappear, lose their glow, or have an inactive state after gathering... these red flowers always look harvestable

Love the game so far. Love the camera movement. If possible please do not change this much since many games get the camera movement worng. I noticed many cut scenes Selene hands just go thorough her body, looks wired. Also, its not a probelm and doesnt really bug me , but as you gain items i feel the box that pops up is a bit big , it can be more smaller and at the bottom of the screen.

Also Hitting enamines , the damage dealt numbers that are show(I feel are to big) and make them red) and smaller font size.

Those are just things I noticed so far , havent palyed enough yet tto say more.

Other than that , love the music , the voice acting and the atmosphere is perfect . Also love how the combat is done so far.

Red Damage numbers are for attacks from behind. Theres a reason why they are white :D Same for Weeknesses those are red too.

Most of the stuff I want is just quality of life features, honestly. The three big ones for me right now:

- The camera needs to be adjusted. It also moves a bit too fast when you're running.
- Sprint/walk toggle option. It's a little annoying to be sprinting everywhere 24/7, so it would be nice if we could switch between sprinting and walking.
- Controller support. As it stands, I have to use the analogs to cycle through the menus, which is kind of weird, lol. I should be able to use the d-pad, especially when I'm in the battle menu.

I would just like to comment the pace of combat feels off from watching the stream.
I'm partial to turn based combat, but the way the grid system is implemented feels like added tedium instead of depth.
Watching trash mobs run around and tank your regular attacks (when you know they're just easy fodder) breaks the flow — it's simply a waste of time, especially since the animations aren't impressive in the first place. Do that over and over again and many players will eventually grow bored.

Aside from that, I think the environments look fabulous, so keep up the good work in that regard.

Switch the wait timer and HP bars during combat.. The wait timer is massive compared to your HP bar during battle and switch the color from red to green or blue or yellow.. something else when you input a magic spell or attack.
Also fix the camera, aka stop automatically moving it. When a battle starts have it in a set spot ideally in a isometric 3D sky spot or something. Everytime I try to use area based magic the camera pans out, but it does it in such a way where it takes FOREVER to reach its pan out designation. Which makes selecting the tile you want to cast the magic on stupid to do..
Stop freezing the game when you pick up a treasure chest.
Stop the cutscenes, a lot of the beginning of the gameplay cutscenes could just be expressed or said while your wondering around the map.
The Enemy AI needs work.

My only problem so far is that the qust pointer on the map covers the pointer showing the direction you are facing.
If you pick open a chest or harvest something, essentially do anything that freezes the game to pop up the item detail below, you can press esc twice to unfreeze the game. The pop up below won't disappear and you can move freely. Enemies also won't attack you.

At the first town(?) you enter, a cutscene happened just as I pressed to interact with someone. Ended up stuck in the cutscene and am not able to do anything but press alt-F4. (Stuck as in the characters just stared at the dude standing on the crate shouting and cut scene didn't end)

I cant set the game to borderless mode, the options menu would not work and alt enter just switches between fs and windowed. the options menu is really laggy and hard to navigate.
