Visitors moving through fences and walls
Hi, looked around if it's already posted, didn't find.
Since the update (either Update 9 or that small one after it) my visitors just walk through scenery objects like Walls and Fences.
Anyone else having this issue?

They are doing this since Planet Coaster 1. You can block them with barriers. But only the smallest barrier works... somehow. The develovers are too lazy to fix.
But it worked, until these two updates.
They walked around fences and walls. Hm.

They have never walked around fences or walls if there is pathing through them, you just got lucky with pathing making it seem like they were. They only will not walk through barriers but even that is a tad glitchy sometimes. Most updates do alter the pathing, which makes sense given what's been added, so the new pathing is maybe ineffective in appearance for what you built.

With how the pathing system works in Planco 2, if you want guests to actually walk around fences and walls, you can always carve away and remove the pathing that those scenery items are on top of.
I do wonder what is going on as i see more and more people lately trying to claim that guests walking trough scenery is a „bug“. This has never ever been a thing in the planet coaster series… there are some barriers that have blocking property but sometimes they work, sometimes they dont.

I don't believe it is an issue of being lazy, but rather that pathfinding for every single person on every single object in the game would break the game engine and bring it to a crawl. I see this issue in other games too. Not just Frontier's. Personal computer and PS/XBOX hardware have finite limits on computational ability at any given second. Do I wish that wasn't the case? Of course. But that is the tradeoff of running games on home and desktop systems. There are limitations. And the simulation is already keeping track of a large number of things as it is including the physics and animation of all the coasters.
