I am quite content with the size of the maps we have in PlanCo and Planet Zoo and I haven't seen or heard anything, which would make this a concern for PlanCo2.
Would I want huge maps? Not really. What for? Travel distance is already insane on the map as it is. Performance isn't even the main issue. You can put tons of stuff on a tiny square and hit the performance or have smooth rides on an almost empty big map.
What do you want the huge maps for? To transport people between different parks on a big map with bullet trains and airplanes or what? Play Transport Fever for that.
I remember getting the larger map in alpha and thinking it was too big after suffering the performance hit, so If they have improved performance with the engine the existing map sizes will be playable and have plenty of room.
