- no grass
- dumb'ed down for consoles
- even more cartoon looking than the 1st one
- same boring coaster queues
- same path texture and platform textures
- essentially it's pc1 with pools, oh and a day 1 dlc to buy some of the same rides from pc1 too. When are we going to get a realistic theme park game?
1 Ground textures look good
2 There is a grass texture if you look hard enough
3 No it's not
4 Just use asphalt
5 Just use asphalt
NOPE .... The more i see of PC2 the more obvious it becomes it is being developed for consoles and dumbed down for pc players, instead of making a true PC2 they are pulling wool over your eyes by selling you planet coaster console edition. PC hardware is so much more capable, it is obvious they developed this for console hoping pc gamers would not notice. I bet as time goes on more people will come to this realization.
When I zoom in close to any part of anything ... I can see incredible detail. I can see the bolts on the train tracks fastened to screws. I can see splinters on the railroad ties. I can see welding points on the scaffolding.
OK? Welding points as in where one piece of metal was welded to another, so some of the solder bulges out at the point of contact. More detail than expected or even necessary.
If this is not real enough for anybody, they should go get a job at a Real Roller Coaster Manufacturer, like Rocky Mountain Construction, Great Coasters International, Inc., etc. Go work there and Get Really Real.
Really!
Not the dot-eyed peeps, or the magical animatronics, or the staff animations, or any of the other aspects that can reasonably be called cartoony.
His expectations for the game are less valid than ours, because he's a mustache-twirling 2D villain that is out to bait some rage, and to steal our joy.
I did not know he twirled a mustache!
More than happy to pay for DLC, if its worth it. But not if its base content stripped out and resold to us.
I to would like more path textures, just use asphalt is not really any answer is it. They wouldn't have posted about more textures if they were happy just using asphalt.
I'm hoping it turns out good, but I'm not alpha testing their games any more and I'm not pre-purchasing, (did it with PC1 and Elite I'm done), Regardless of what bonus they offer (another thing i despise about modern games).
Not everyone's a rage baiter, I don't know if its been dumbed down for consoles for not. But I certainly hope not, and I hope the engine has had improvements and can handle the guest AI in the numbers they allowed in PC1
Despite all that I'm genuinely looking forward to it, just with skepticism.
Edit: typos
