Triggered sound effect

I placed a MP3 sound effect linked to a speaker as in this screen shot

As you can see in this screen shot I placed a trigger point (#1) on the track linked to the speaker and yet I get no sound when the cars reach that trigger point.

Can anyone help me?

Triggers have been bugged and broken since last update. Dont know about before update 2, only started using them after update 2.
its just utterly messy working with triggers because they either dont trigger at all, then next sequence they trigger, then they trigger to late… it makes working with this feature realy tedious

I just downloaded update 2 as you can see in the screenshot I have the western scenery. I tried going to the frontier forums online but could find no way to post it as after you click new post planet coaster 2 doesn't show up. Any suggestions?

You mean update 3? We are currently on update 3 since yesterday bro :)

Dont know why you are not able to post on frontier forums, for me its working normally. Maybe just post on the issue tracker?
If you do so, make sure to share the link to issue tracker here with us so others can confirm the bug and maybe it reaches frontier faster

I loaded up my saved park from months ago, and tried the triggered speakers out on a few of my rides, and they're still crazy low. Oddly enough, when you pull away from them and go to edit mode, they're louder. I posted this into the issue tracker back in December.
