No workshop support?
I just downloaded this game today since I was a big fan of PC1. I have yet to play this game but I have seen all the reviews about it having various bugs and optimization issues which I'm willing to power through until they're fixed.

Have the devs said anything about Workshop support being added for this game though? That was a huge draw for me with the first game and I'm hoping it's just because they're working on patching this game first.

The game now uses Frontier workshop.
Same kind of idea, Just not implemented as well.

It's built into the game. Same system. Allows you to share with console players and vice versus which Steam does not do. So the system they implemented is better.

Can't agree more with this, having a workshop that allows you to share content with multiple platforms is a big plus in my book.

The system they implemented is horrible bad. The UI is a mess, tagging does not work, many major categories flat out is missing etc. Half of the time you can't even connect to the workshop and when you do, the UI takes up the whole screen rather than the Steam workshop overlay. Another sub par system from the failed dev team for PC2.

Stop licking their butts or tthe game will never be better.

While the UI isn't great and the tagging/context of shared content can be vastly improved, Frontier can still change those things. Going with the steam workshop might have given a better interface but as far as I know would strip the entire support for consoles.

The current system might not be perfect but at least we have a build-in method of sharing things with one another.

But who knows, maybe one day Valve, Sony, and Microsoft will support a cross platform steam workshop. Till that day we can only hope that Frontier listens to constructive feedback and changes things for the better.

some people really have no idea how good steam workshop was compared to this stuff. i hope you enjoy having a full window overlay, waiting for it to load up and you cant even go back to previous searches/pages because everytime you open frontier workshop you have to retype everything again... im curious, do you care to explain why exactly this workshop is better than the one from planco 1?

I mean if they implemented TMTK on on Frontier workshop I think that would quell a lot of complaints about it. To me having the ability to share and download custom objects, particles, rides, skins and blueprints is what a workshop is all about.

But hey with all the game's current issues at the very least it's not a streaming/online only game like a current flight simulator is. Let's not accept that trend please.
