Pricing
Does anyone else feel like if you bought the Deluxe Edition when the game was first announced have been hosed?

When the game first dropped with a price, I bought the Deluxe Edition (included only the Vintage Ride pack) for $64.99.

The game released a little over a month ago and now its on the Winter Sale.

If I wanted to buy the Thrill Rides Pack, it would cost me $9.99. So a grand total of 74.98 (original Deluxe plus Thrill Rides Pack). Oh, the overpriced Thrill Rides Pack isn't discounted because it would be absurd to discount a DLC a week after launch... but discount a game a month after launch is fine. Moving on.

If I decided to just buy them all separately during the Winter sale (base game, vintage rides, and thrill rides), it would cost me $65.17 (-$9.81).

If I got the Deluxe Edition and the thrill rides during the Winter sale, it would cost me $61.98.
Or a better deal, get the Premium that includes everything for $58.65 (-$16.33).

This is very different if you bought the Planet Coaster game with all the DLC for $10 as opposed to paying more when it first came out because Planet Coaster came out 8 years ago. Planet Coaster 2 is barely over a month old.

I don't feel like anybody got "hosed" as you put it. They advertised what you would be getting pending on the purchase you have selected. There was always going to be a sale at some point, we also knew that DLC would be released as well. They never once claimed or stated that it would be included. As such, there's no reason to feel like it should have been included. Would your opinion change if this was done in say 6 months? not likely.

So really we got what we paid for. Give a year and the discount will be even better and will include more. There's no surprise here.

Well, I've said it before. If I hadn't let the steam time pass the game would be gone.

Pre ordering never pays off, its just dumb through and through.

I do feel ripped of to be fair.

Many of us pre ordered just to get the pay walled rides. Had Frontier not held those rides hostage then I along with many others would not have pre ordered.

I should have trusted my gut but unfortunately the FOMO on the pre order bonus got the better of me.

Lesson learnt I guess.

i think the game was not finished enough or ready for full release, they could have polished it more or with the state it is in have early-access

This is all fine and good if it would be for a working product. No functional and thriving game has a sale less than a month after initial release.

nearly every game has a sale a month or two after release, welcome to modern gaming. Pre-ordering a game is just a bad decision.
