Since they released already two hot fixes, with minor changes and fixes, I think they will release more of them in between the patches... But expect them to have smaller fixes or features added.
I think they will get some things fixed, but they say something like "more fixes and changes will come with every update", but they will start talking about them when they are ready or close to release... So I think they will get at least some UI fixes in the game.
While I hated most of the UI in the beginning, I realized most of the UI elements have hotkeys/shortcuts... So now it is ok... Only that you sometimes need to hit "ESC" many, many times to get out of the sub menu, of the sub menu, of the sub selection, of the selection is a bit annoying. I think 11-12 times hitting "ESC" to deselect everything, was my record.
We will have to wait and see, at least they've communicated something.
And why would they need to stop referring to this updates as "free".
Updates generally fix functional and/or security issues, which if you ask me should always be free. But in this case they're also adding additional (tho limited) content, as mentioned under the "rides". They're not obliged to release these additions for free, so since we're not paying for them they can correctly market it as "free content updates".
"...We also know that many of you are keen to see some of the themes from the original Planet Coaster in the game – this is something we’re actively looking into as part of these free content updates, and we’ll have more to share on this in the future."
And since they are only humans and not slaves you can't force them to fix it to a specific time frame... Only people who don't have any clue about software development would make statements like you did.
They are working hard on it, maybe their communication isn't great, but they will try to fix as much is possible in the given time frame...
This is why they say, they will talk more about the details if the updates closer to release... Since it is to early to say what will be fixed on a given date or release.
Calm down guys... Development is hard, it takes long to change stuff, improve them without causing new bugs, optimizing them, testing etc.
Did they release the game to early, yes - and I stated that after I saw the first gameplay... But they are working hard on it and try to get it fixed.
They are not slaves nor robots... So if they are adding back the old themes for free, that is at least nice to hear.
And for the other fixes, they can't tell the future too... So this is why they say "we will talk about more details near release" because they can't say what they can fix in time, what needs longer and what maybe isn't fixable without breaking the game.
This why they have thing like improve management and guest behavior on multiple updates, since it is a process that needs time and little steps...
Calm down, stop hating, give them a chance.
" Not slaves, fix as much as possible?" Did you even bother to read my post? Obviously not. I will say it once again so you can understand! I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PLAY THE GAME SINCE I PAID FOR IT ON THE 24TH OF DECEMBER DUE TO CONSTANT CRASHES I AM NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO PLACE A PATH, A CHANCE WOULD BE A FINE THING! YES I THINK MAKING THE GAME PLAYABLE WITHOUT CONSTANT CRASHES MORE IMPORTANT THAN A STUPID ROAD MAP. ALSO MAYBE THEY SHOULD LEARN SOME SKILLS IN COMMUNICATION INSTEAD OF BURYING THEIR HEADS IN THE SAND WHEN THERE ARE SO MAY COMPLAINTS! SO YES I WILL DEMAND THAT THEY SORT CRASHES OUT SEEN AS I HAVE PAID FOR A PRODUCT THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE FINISHED AND AT LEAST PLAYABLE. GOOD FOR YOU THAT YOU ONLY HAVE A COUPLE OF THINGS THAT GO WRONG. LETS HOPE ANYTHING ELSE YOU PURCHASE IN YOUR LIFE HAS NO ISSUES AS THOSE THAT SOLD IT ARE NOT YOUR SLAVES TO FIX IT! DOES THAT MAKE IT ANY CLEARER FOR YOU
And they also stated they work on many more issues, but share more details closer to the update releases... So expect a list of (bug)fixes with every update, about which they don't talk specifically.
So instead of whining, you could report the issues and than maybe they will fix it in some time... If you check the issue tracker, there are hundred smaller ones, and they only have a limited number if developers... So give them some time.
LMAO do you honestly think no one has reported the issues? Go over and check on FRONTIERS Planet coaster2 reports and see how many tickets have been expired without them even looking at them I really do believe this discussion place is full of Trolls or people who work for Frontier who do nothing but try to discredit people who have complaints!!! We cant have people complaining can we LOL
Are you ok? Seriously? I played the game for close to 100 hours and had 3-4 crashes... So seeing your reaction, I think the problem sits often in front of the screen - since most players (about 99,9999%) are able to play it and place patches without crashing. Maybe try deactivatung your antivir, check your drivers, close third party apps etc... Instead of going crazy in the forum.
A ton of people are complaigning about the workshop but nothing, not a single word.
Well mayube i was expecting too much, this game is dead for me probably for most of users.
I'm done with this game, it's time for uninstalling and find another game, don't expect anything with this game u'll be decieved anyway.
Bottom line, this is more evidence the product was planned, managed and executed poorly as well as being released well before it should have been.
This isn't how the tracker works... They are using it to collect issues...
You have to look at it realistic:
They most likely have a list with between 1000 to 10000 bugs in front of them at the office, some might be fixable in a day, some might affect other game mechanics, some might need complete reprogramming of parts...
Some happen very often for many players, some only occured one time with one player....
Than you have often other departments that need to get involved, like the Art department and than implemented.
So now they have to prioritize some bugs, than figure out how long it takes, what problems these changes might cause etc.
And they of course, have a limited number of developers...
So just because you reported something, doesn't mean it gets fixed nearby...
If you are the only one, that for example "reports crashes when placing a path"... Than I am sorry to tell you: it might be a hardware or software issue on your side and never get fixed... But if hundreds of people having the same problem, it is definitely a bug and needs fixing...
This is why you should report it, it gets prioritized if more people have the same issue.
So slowly they will work through the list... Sometimes they will fix a not so important bug quickly, because it was an easy fix and sometimes it can need months, because it affects other systems or causes new problems.
You can complain, but I prefer people that don't go crazy when doing it... And why didn't you refund the game if you are so unhappy?
And another thing: they stated that they are working on stability issues... And since the game runs totally fine for many of us - the crash issues both of you are stating seem to be a specific problem, that doesn't affect everyone - so this might need some time to get figured out, what causes this - might be some hardware or other software installed on your system.
So give them some time, or if you can't play it... Refund it.
