Select / DeSelect

This may seem like a silly question but it is becoming increasingly frustrating to me so....When I'm custom building and I use the select tool and it highlights something that I do not want to edit (like a food stall) is there a way to deselect just the food stall and keep all the other building pieces selected? I'm trying to work on my "round" building skills and I'm just having an issue. Thanks.

If you're using the MultiSelect you can press ctrl (or the subtract from selection icon, right one) to remove things from your selection. If things overlap you can use the Freelook camera to get up close and try to click the correct thing.

If you're in a group/building the controls should be the same. So pressing ctrl will allow you to remove things from your selection. Again overlapping items can cause some issues.

Keybindings may but they should be displayed at the bottom bit of the UI, below the scenery, staff, facilities, etc... buttons.
