Have tried everything I can think of including: ensuring windows & every possible driver are updated; uninstalling the game & reinstalling with just the latest DLC omitted and again with no DLC (validating install files each time); run full diagnostics on my PC to ensure the issue isn't on my end; even tried rolling back the installed version of the game to before the latest patch (as it was working for me before the update), only to find the update somehow managed to break that release of the game as well. Have submitted a support ticket, but I doubt it'll be responded to before the new year at this stage.
The only thing I've managed to narrow it down to is that it seems to be something related to the UI 'fixes' as the UI usually breaks just before the game crashes completely, but even that isn't consistent as sometimes the game will crash just trying to load into a new empty park. And there is a memory leak, but only sometimes. None of the crashes & UI breaking bugs are consistent which makes troubleshooting all the harder, the only thing that's consistent is that it will freeze or crash within 10 mins of booting up. Oh, and just to make everything even better: tried installing it on my housemate's PC to test and it seems to work completely fine there with no issues at all. Great.
Considering how many of us have had our games completely broken by the update I'd hoped for some kind of statement from Frontier, even just a post on their forums stating that they know the update has created unforeseen issues for some players & they're working on a fix, anything but the radio silence from them so far.
TL/DR cos that ended up being an essay: The update completely broke the game, no troubleshooting's worked, cue bitter disappointment at that, the 130 odd hours wasted on a game I can no longer play, & the lack of communication from Frontier so far
I totally agree with you.
Have the same problems and also tried all kinds of things but nothing works.
By now I have already put 300 hours of work into it (even though it was still on when I was doing other things). Would be a shame if all that was for nothing.
Have also put my complaints in as many places as possible but nothing in terms of messages from Frontier back.
Im running on a MSI raider GE78 HX 14v so its definately not the hardware
I can't edit anything at all in it either.
