Family Sharing?

Before I "pre-purchase" this, I gotta know.... will Family Sharing work with this? I see the tag on PC1. and PZoo, but it's curiously missing from the PC2 page. I hope that doesn't mean it's locked to 1 family member.

I read there is a 3rd party softeware now (to share mods on PC and console)

I also read on steam that games with 3rd party software will not work for family sharing.

So thats why, likely. or they did not yet updated...

Unfiortunately not .I just pre ordered it and my friend who is added to my family acount cant see it

Frontier has not permitted Family Sharing feature for this game.

I wanted to preorder it but i'm not sure now that i know there's no family sharing

Yeah, no family sharing would most likely mean no purchase for me . My sons like to play it occasionally, which(without family sharing) would increase the cost from $65 to $195 for me, which ain't gonna happen. I'd probably just wait for a 50%+ sale, in a couple years.

On the bright side though, I did contact Frontier through their web site, and a support person sent me a reply that basically said "We actually don't know if that feature will be enabled, but if it was in the previous 2 games (meaning PC1 and PZoo) then it will also *probably* be in PC2." Definitely taking that with a grain of salt... that type of info is probably above their pay grade... but it did give me a little bit of hope that there is a chance.

Cross fingers... it just sucks I'll miss out on the pre-order extras because I have to wait until release to see if Family Sharing works. Ah well, first world problems.

... In every company i worked for they always pay people to pick up the phone. But actually they don't know what is happening in the company, can't decide anything and often don't know anything.

Family Sharing isnt enabled until release. THis most probably will have it.

To me it would not make sense for family sharing to not be included in this game. It is something I will definitely test out once released

Could pre-order and then refund unplayed if Family Sharing isn't there on release? Also a hassle, but still, if you'd be that bummed out about missing the pre-order, possibly worth it?

Yeah, I've pretty much decided that's just what I'm gonna do. Will wait until just before release though, 'cus I think you only have a week or 2 to refund. Hoping there is not some loophole about pre-orders not being refundable.

Yes you have two weeks after the release to refund the game you preordered (and if you haven't played more than 2 hours ofc)
